I am obviously one of the unlucky ones. I have been paid 2 lots of expenses in the last 17 weeks although I have put in weekly expense reports for all of them. They basically make up their own rules and add and change to not have to pay what they owe. I would certainly not recommend this company without thoroughly checking their 'small print' regarding Client Billable Expenses, especially if you have a lot of them like me. Currently £4,000 out of pocket and starting legal action. Their arrogance and lack of contact is alarming. Very unprofessional company.

Disappointing. .Made me sad. Were unwilling to recover my outstanding pay from the agency; That's their whole/core purpose !!
Took months batting questions back and forth. Had to drive them all the way. They cocked-up the contract so could not push for resolution as it would expose their errors.
Dreadful customer service, lying about response times of a day. Had to escalate to CEO, still unresponsive.
I ask you to do your research, you read this review so be advised to look

Absolutely Awful Experience
Absolutely awful experience. Non-payments, late payments, unfathomable pay slips, duplicated pay slips...totally inconsistent. Left Danbro weeks ago and still waiting for a payment and my P45. Complaint picked up by the person I dealt with - I'd like to say she has been thorough..but thoroughly useless and unreliable seems more accurate. These companies need better regulation and accountability.

Don't Really Understand The Bad Feedback
Not sure if the poor feedback is aimed at the Limited Company side, but as an umbrella contractor I have been with Danbro for most of 5 years and have NEVER had an issue, always been paid on time and has been trouble free too when claiming expenses from the companies I've worked for.
The only negative I have is that the payslips are very confusing and could do with some explanatory notes.

Ruined Pay, Expenses And Withheld Referral Award
I was recommended to use Danbro by a business associate of mine, and can honestly say that this has been the worst experience I've had using an accounting/payroll organisation to date. This is not on the back of a misunderstanding, nor is this sour grapes for being on the right or wrong end of a dispute; this is the honest and truthful outcome of the sole experience of using Danbro, and I can only implore others to head my experience if deciding to use this company.
What should have been a simple and straight-forward assignment (Acting as my umbrella company for a very short-term fixed-contract, outlined to Danbro from the outset) has unfortunately descended into an absolute farce.
To date, I have/have experienced:
- Changes and modifications to my pay without any notice, consistently receiving lower than quoted net payments for my contract
- Been forced into using my own time to contact HMRC on their behalf, despite being my 'employer', for THEIR issue with HMRC and employee tax codes. This, after having written confirmation by HMRC twice - twice regarding this. Apparently it's my fault if they cannot see something on a LIVE database between themselves and HMRC.
- Been passed between 4 different members of staff regarding this issue, including the assistant manager on the responsible team. This has included an extremely patronising and inappropriate lecture on how "payroll works", how "we are not your accountants" (despite me paying you on a weekly basis to process my money) and hearing how "HMRC don't like us" in relation to apportioning blame and responsibility for the issues faced,
- Having not been paid consistently, and have had weeks MISSING from payroll processing due to "Missing the lines off the spreadsheet". Danbro have even admitted that this was done to "Keep their NI stamps in sequence/order". An absolutely astonishing admittance and reason for not paying their employee for that week.
- Expenses have not been paid properly either, despite the recruitment agency and the end client approving this and sending them over within the required time frames. This was eventually passed on to their head of Quality and Service, where I was asked if I could "send any receipts I could find" with the other solution being to fill the car up 3 weeks after the contract had come to an end, to then supply them with a receipt that they could massage in somehow? I genuinely cannot believe that a head of quality and service was asking me if this was possible, and being seen as a genuine solution.
Had this been highlighted at any point, by either the assistant manager or any of the numerous other people I've dealt with from the beginning or indeed any other agent I've had to deal with along the way, then it could have been dealt with at that time; I do not expect, nor am I impressed, to be told by the head of Quality and Service "I do apologise, somebody should have told you this information".
- 50% of my referral award has been withheld until I enact another employment term with them (!!). This is apparently due to their terms which state that I need to work longer than 4 weeks to receive the full referral bonus: I worked for 4.5 weeks and had the full details of my employment and term length before starting. Absolutely disgraceful.
- Having tried to follow the complaints process as I hadn't been paid for certain times, with weeks time and expenses being withheld intentionally on the back of their admitted mistake (so that they could keep their NI stamps in check, and because "would actually be more beneficial for you if we paid you in the new financial year anyway, as you'll have a new tax code" (Which they got wrong too - meaning I'll now have to wait until April 2018 before their mistake can be rectified) I was put in contact with their head of quality and service. After an initial phone call, I was told she would be in contact the following day. After attempting to reach her via her colleagues for the last week, and again after leaving a voicemail on her phone, I had to call the assistant manager and ask him, AGAIN, to contact her. The end result was the following:
"Firstly I would like to apologise for the fact it’s taken me a week to come back to you on our previous conversation. I have received the messages from my colleagues this morning and I know you’ve been waiting for a reply"
There is absolutely no excuse for poor time management, lies or excuses to fob off a customer of your service - and this is from the 'head' of quality and service?
Danbro have admitted wrongdoing verbally but will offer nothing to rectify or put these issues right (Thanks again for telling me to fill in more forms for HMRC to put right an expense that you have messed up)
I can only offer this complaint as a warning to others, and consult specialist advice on proceeding with the next steps of a formal complaint forward.
Had To Pay For Benefits Not Required- No Refund
Enrolled for benefits not required wouldn't allow me to reclaim these expenses. Make sure what you signing up for. pension company linked to Danbro haven't returned calls or message.
