Not Recommended At All!

I used to use this when my skin was getting so bad that I was desperate for something that worked. I used to get cystic acne at a certain time in the month and I would always get a few large under the skin spots. I tried this gel after seeing the Freederm adverts and reviews. However, this gel did nothing for my spots and made no difference. It didn't make it worse but I gave up after 6 weeks of trying and there was no difference. Don't waste your money and instead go to the doctors. I am now using prescribed gels which have worked wonders and my skin is now clear!

Absolutely Rubbish!

I use to get very few spots so I thought I'd use freederm to help provent any more coming, biggest mistake ever!! Ever since I've started using this product it's made my skin worse and spots multiply! I asked my brother as to whether I should continue, he said it may get worse before it get better and to persevere with freederm, again another big mistake, even more spots came in places I have NEVER had spots before. One spot is now the size of Jupiter and is very difficult to remove, wish I never used the product in the first place but just put up with some spots. I wouldn't recommend this product unless you want a major breakout of spots.

Works-ish

This gel kind of works for me. I have mild acne, usually cystic so it hurts really bad and it can be there for days. What this gel does for me is it dries out the spots that I have and are healing. For the new spots that I get, it makes them smaller and disappear in a couple of days. It doesn't do much in clearing the skin and not getting new spots but it does work and heal the spots that do come out.

Doesn't Work Well At All

I saw freederm gel in boots and thought i would give it a try (i usually use wich stick which is great but thought i would change to something else)

i have been using the gel for 3 days, applying at night time only and it has brought me out in loads of little spots all over the places where i have applied it. i thought perhaps it will get worse before it gets better but my skin is horrible and by far the worst its every been, i would not recommend this and am stopping using this gel and going back to using wich stick instead.

it is expensive for what it is as well £5.49 for a small 10g tube. i had high hopes for this as its always been a highly praised product but did not agree with my skin at all.

wish i had researched the product before i purchased so i could save myself a fiver and my skin would be alot clearer than what it is now!!

I Had The Worstl Acne Ever!

my acne before freederm was really bad. they were big painful spots mainly on my chin (hormonal) and on my cheeks. when I first started using it I had a really big breakout after 3 weeks I now have clear skin. I have the odd one but nothing like before. I used freederm because I was sick of keep going to my dr and tried all sorts to try and clear it. im really pkeased with these products. I used the face wash in the morning, then moisturiser in the day and the scrub and serum at night. its even improved the texture of my skin. if you use it give it a chance acne treatments take at least a month to 6 weeks to work so be patient.

Not Quite Sure

I got freederm gel about 1 week ago and have been using it 2 twice everyday. At first i didn't notice any change but then after a few days i seemed to notice i was coming out in more spots. Im not sure if that is how freederm gel works? maybe they bring out all the spots you have then you will have clear skin? I'm not sure, but it seems to work for people who have a tiny amount of spots/ whiteheads. Also for the price the freederm gel is, i do not think it is worth it.

Altogether i would recommend it to people with small amount of spots but for people with a fair amount of spots i don't think this is the right product for us.

Amazing!

I recently bought Freedem Gel with my mother when I was shopping with her. I am a teenager and suffer from acne and It's true, it knocks confidence. My mum has a small case of acne and we agreed to try it together. We went home, sat down and read the instructions. Before I went to bed that night I applied the gel and went to sleep. in the morning, I could really see difference. I washed my face, didn't apply the gel and went to school. When I went to bed that night I re applied the gel and did as before. When I woke up most of my acne had gone! I went on only applying it once a day, even though it said use twice daily. I recommended it to all my friends and they are pleased with it too. It would have been good if I had an idea of how fast it would work before I bought the product, but I am deeply satisfied with the result.

Works For Me

I started using Freederm Gel around a year ago, and although it's not perfect, it seems to work better for me than anything else I've tried (and I've tried a lot!)

I broke out quite bad when I first started using it, which put me off so I stopped using for a while. A while later I decided to give it a second chance, and braved through the break-out. I started noticing the benefits. My spots were less often and smaller when they did come, and as a result, my skin looks smoother.

There are 2 downsides to this product that I've noticed:

1) It does nothing for blackheads.

2) Putting the gel on a spot I've already squeezed is a big no-no. It makes it 10 times worse. I have to either hold back on squeezing and apply the gel, or give in to it and avoid putting the gel on that area for a couple of days.

I recommend you give it a try if you suffer from small-medium pimples/whiteheads. And remember, most new products that you use on your face are going to make you break-out. Give it a month or two before you can safely say it doesn't work for you.

One last thing, the tube is around £10, and lasts me between 3-5 months.

Hope this helps!

I Hate Freederm

I absouloutley hate freederm. Before I started using it I had a few spots and after just a few days of applying freederm to my skin it had brought out tons more spots and made my acne much worse. At first when I started using it I thought I would persevere even though It had already broken me out in lots of horrible spots. I thought maybe that was just it working and that it would eventually make my skin a bit clearer. How wrong I was! I had only been using for 4 days when people started telling me that my spots looked really bad and that they hadn't even noticed I had spots before as I only had a few. Freederm had plagued my skin with spots and now that I have stopped using it I am hoping that my skin will return to the way it was before I began using freederm. I would definitely not recommend freederm it is a waste of money and it makes ur acne much worse, a truly horrible product. The only reason I am giving it one star is that I can't give it zero so there. I hate freederm.
