From Brown To Bright Red!

This product is an absolute lie. I bought this box colour to achieve a light ash brown like the box had said. I live with a professional hairdresser but, she didn't have the product to do my colour this time. It was professionally applied and it turned out dark red, living with a professional hair dresser I have some knowledge of levels and the process. Clairol's calibration of colour is totally off. Ash is supposed to get rid of the red not add it!

Ginger

I've had copper hair in the past and must admit this colour does suit me. However, I always find that hair dye always comes out much darker than the colour on the packet. The last couple of times I've died my hair I've used dark ash blonde to achieve medium to dark brown hair. This time I used this product- light brown expecting the medium brown hair I desire. It is simply ginger. Not what I wanted at all as the reason I dye my hair is to get rid of yellowy bits and roots. Going on holiday in 4 days and it is ruined wont go with tanned skin so now I'm having to spend even more money to re-dye it tomorrow. Thanks clairol for wasting my time and money!

Very Dissapointed

After several trips to the hairdressers to remove my previous dark/black colour I had finally acheived the nice shade of light brown I desired, however there were a few ginger tones because of the bleach I wanted to cover. 'Light ash brown' looked similar to my hair, maybe a shade or two darker on the box but according to the back it would only go light brown and claimed it would only last for 24 washes. I could instantly tell after rinsing it off it was way too dark, and after 9 washes in one night it is almost black-I'm furious! I've already had my hair stripped and bleached so I do not want to further damage it, I'm praying because its a 'semi' it will come out completely but if any one has any other tips for removing it please help! Very dissapointed-nothing like the box colour, do not buy this product!

If you buy Vitamin-C powder and mix it with some any shampoo(clarifying and dandruff shampoos work best, but any will do) and you leave it in your hair for an hour and a half(it doesn't damage your hair) then if it's still not out repeat it again until to the desired colour, then just leave your conditioner on for a lot longer than you usually would and your hair will no longer be dry.

Colour Description Not Accurate

I liked the look of this colour as it is near my natural colour. However, on trying it, I found... as others have found... that it brought my hair out in a dark, almost black in parts, brown.. flat and dull colour. Yes, with red tones.

I do not understand why such a large company as Clairol needs to make such a large mistake in their colour description. I am searching for another, more accurate company. I prefer not to waste my money on Clairol's products. They should review their colour accuracy.

Don't Buy It, Unless You Want Dark Brown Hair With Red Roots.

Went through all the hassle of pre-lightening my hair, which obviously causes damage - so I could get the natural light brown colour I so desired.

My hair was a mousey-brown as a child and darkened as I got older. Now the grays are showing against my dark hair, I thought it was time to go to a lighter shade of brown, but try and keep it still looking natural.

I followed all the instructions and I'm SO annoyed at this colour. It took my hair colour RIGHT back to the darker brown I had, in fact EVEN DARKER! Honest, no word of a lie, my hair was BLACK in parts.

Erm, when an hair dye CLAIMS the words 'LIGHT' and 'ASH' in their titles, then this is what the customer expects! To be LIGHT and to be ASH (ie: no red tones) - All hair is different, but I actually took my hair to a light blond, with all the damaging effects that will have, just so I could get that lovely, light ash brown with no red tones whatsoever... This WAS NOT the dye to do it with!

My hair then lightened over time to a ginger, which I hate red tones in my hair - and I've been trying to get rid of this disgusting colour ever since.

I will never use this brand again.

So Glad I Thought To Check On Some Reviews Of The

So glad I thought to check on some reviews of the 'new' Nice 'n' Easy. And, that I am not the only one who is bitterly disappointed. Similar to the experience of others, the colour I have been happy to use for many years has been changed. I obviously tried the 'new updated version' of 114 Natural Light Ash Brown. After doing my roots a few times it was glaringly obvious that the 'new' version was far darker. I had to then add the new colour to the rest of my hair to make it a unifom colour and it is now what I would describe as a dull, very dark muddy brown, most unflattering.

My question to Clairol, is........ WHY????? Are they not aware that when a hair product is suddenly discontinued, or altered, that it leaves one in an annoying and frustrating situation. I now have to experiment with the other colours until I reach one that is near to the old 114, if I'm very lucky!! I must add that throughout the years of using 114, many people often remarked that they were surprised that I coloured my hair, thought it was natural. I really don't need all this hassel.

Rubbish. I Did Have Very Light Blonde Hair, And It

Rubbish. I did have very light blonde hair, and it started to go quite yellowy. So I decided to used dark ash blonde colours on it, which just kept washing out. So when I heard light ash brown, I though it would be fairly light and a natural-looking colour. This was not the case, it is now VERY dark brown!! Not "light" in the slightest, I just hope it fades out like the others!! Only good thing was it made my hair fairly soft, but other than that, totally disappointing.

Huge Warning! As A First Time "nice'n Easy" Custo

HUGE WARNING! As a first time "Nice'n Easy" customer I am so unhappy with the color results of this product! I chose 115A Natural Lighter Golden Brown and the pink and red tones are shocking and awful. I could NEVER recommend this product ... in fact, I'm now seeking help from a professional to un-do the damage it's caused. The color gradients on the back of the box are inaccurate and did not depict a red quality to the sample hair.

As A General Rule I Always Dye My Hair A Shade Or

As a general rule I always dye my hair a shade or two darker than my natural colour. For a change I decided to go a little lighter than my naturally medium brown hair. The Clairol Nice 'n' Easy Light Ash Brown shade seems like a good choice to me. Sadly, I was disappointed. It left no change in my hair colour what so ever - even after leaving it on for the maximum time. The only benefit that it can claim is that it did leave my hair really soft. Shame I had to go through the burning eyes and nose from the fumes. Would not purchase again. Would not reccomend.
