Most of our windows were put in by Sutton windows many years ago and we have been very happy with them until recently. The last lot of windows that were installed by Sutton were two back bedroom windows and a bathroom window installed in 2021. Recently we noticed a crack in one of the back bedroom windows so I rang Sutton up straight away. I knew the guarantee was finished but we were happy to pay for a replacement. I asked if somebody could come out and have a look and give us an estimate of how much it would cost. I was told to send some pictures of the cracked window over which I did and when I rang up a few days later about it I was asked if I could send another couple of pictures from a different angle which I did and again sent more pictures over. I asked if somebody could come out and have a look and was told that Sutton would ring me back. Weeks went by and the crack started to spread, we decided to look locally for a Glazier company as we hadn’t heard from Sutton. I rang this local company and they sent somebody the very next day to have a look measured up and give me a price. The window was ordered and installed within a week excellent work would recommend to anybody. The Glazier showed me what the problem was and Sutton Windows had installed a window that had a slight tear in the black seal which then over time started a crack in the window.

After a month or so I got a call from Sutton Windows to see if I could send some pictures over of the reported cracked window (unbelievable) I said I had sent many pictures over to them weeks and weeks ago. I said I no longer needed them as I have a new window installed by another company.

Trouble with draughts. Now, after 11th phone call, nothing has happened - except endless promises. They simply never ring back.

Looked at this site whilst looking up sutton windows details for a friend, the negative reviews didn't reflect my experience at all. The guy who came round to measure up and quote was very professional and not at all pushy, and made some good suggestions. The fitter was likewise very polite, did a good job and tidied up after himself and the windows themselves have caused no problems in the two years since they were fitted. We chose them because they were loads cheaper than everest and the windows themselves(upvc double glazed units) were less bulky in the frame than a lot of competitors.

Although I didnt take up their quote (they came in at around £1400 more than the company I chose), their salesman was very good - he was quite matter of fact and honest, there was no pressure etc, and I received the written quote soon after his visit.

Worth getting in for a quote. Although they were expensive, I was looking for sash windows which aren't cheap anyway so they may well come in better for casement windows etc.

Ordered seven windows (including two large bays)from Sutton Windows, 'The Company That Cares' - well, they DON'T. Had nothing but problems with shoddy installation and incorrect lead designs. Was supposed to take three days to fit but ended up taking three MONTHs to get it right. Had to take many days off work for refit etc. Look great once they were in, but not worth the hassle. When I complained I eventually got a price reduction of £200 - on a £6000 contract thats not much at all.

I have had their windows and conservatory for ten years+ and there are always problems with the conservatory doors as once left open for a while (as they are supposed to be in summer) the doors NEVER close again without much straining. The only way has been to lift either of the doors in the hope that will again match up the locking plates to secure - this has not always been possible and, on average, an engineer from Sutton Windows has to come to "repack" the glass in the doors which worked up to the final year of the guarantee when the engineer decided to "fix" the doors by redrilling the locking plate holes so that there was a constant draught - in a so-called double glazed conservatory. Now the guarantee is finished and the doors still do not lock wht is one to do? The project was a shambles from the start - recommend Sutton Windows, I think not.
