Won't Use Again
Ok I Thought things would be ok to order from this company after phoning them and asking if they had the camera and lens kit in stock that I required to buy. I was told yes they had and just order it from their website.
This I did well before 2pm. I had to phone them again much later, reference a website problem as it wouldn't let me log in to my account. I was then told that it turns out they didn't have the camera in stock as a kit, but they would split a kit lens out of a different model kit with the same lens.If I had not had to ring them I wouldn't have known this.
I said ok initially as I wanted the camera, but after checking around the internet and watching a few U tube videos I realised that I would not get the correct box for the lens.
I know from past experience that this would affect the re-sale value when I come to trade the camera in later.
I have cancelled the order and I am still at a loss as to why they would tell me the item was in stock when it clearly was not.
This seems to a practice used by other internet companies and needs to stopped. I would rather be told initially that the item is not in stock but will be soon. This way at least you have the choice whether to order or not.

Nec Focus 2013
I purchase a Epson R3000 at the NEC (Focus 2013) on Monday 4th and was told it would be 5 to 10 days for delivery it was on my door step in two days. Great service.
The guys on the stand at Focus were very helpful even tho they were under alot of pressure with what must have been the busiest of all the show stands.
Great price as well.

i borrowed the leica C-LUX 2 from a friend & have wanted one since then but found them to be a tad to expensive for my budget. then i came across "camera world" & couldn"t believe my luck as the prices are that fab & when i ordered i didn"t know for sure if the camera would have any accessories for what it cost...but wow was i impressed!!the little beauty came with everything except the box (which i"d have thrown anyway!)original manual, battery, charger, usb, new strap even original case & camera looks like new!plus warranty & delivery was very very fast i am over the moon & would like to thank camera world for their excellent service & cannot fault anything...lets party!

I had been searching for a digital SLR for specific business needs. I found cameraworld.co.uk online, did a little research and decided to head on over with a list of my requirements. Michael's service was exemplary. I could not have asked for better service and knowledge. Michael clearly explained the differences between cameras, demonstrated and patiently took the time to answer all my questions. What else can I say? I highly recommend the store and I'm a pretty demanding consumer. I'm really shocked by the negative comments I saw on this site. There was one item I wanted which was out-of-stock. Michael offered to call me when the product was in and offered me an alternative. I elected to have him call me because I'd rather have the first choice and go back and get it when the product is available. Thank you Michael and cameraworld.co.uk. I'll be back!

I went to the Focus exhibition yesterday 5th March 2012. I went to them to purchase the following: Canon 5D mk 11, spare battery, Tamrac bag, Canon 50mm 1.8 lens. The total cost was just over £1750. i managed to get the price of the camera body down to £1425. Simon who served me was very good. However, I walked around Focus and found the camera body cheaper at Jacobs by £26. So I went back to the Camera World stand, i did not find Simon but a lady. I explained that I found it cheaper and could she price match it. She said she would go and ask. She came back and said she could not do this. So I said instead of refunding back the body, could she throw in a memory card or memory card case and I would be happy with that. Then the manager who was standing next to her and serving his own customer said to the lady adivsor 'no just refund the whole thing'. He repated this several times and made a comment that the MD said something simliar but he the manager was saying it in nicer words. I then said I would like to keep the lens and bag and didnt want those refunded. I said Simon was very good, so I dont want you too loose the sale over £26. the annother adivsor butted in and said 'are you really going to refund the camera over £26' I thought his attitude and that of the manager stunk. I had to get the whole £1750 purcahse refunded. I then said 'that was not very good customer service', I then proceeded to walk off and the manager banged his fist down on the counter. Not good customer service at all. All what was needed was Im afraid we cant price match and just refunded the camera, without the rudedness and cockyness from the manager and another sales rep. I was there with two over professional photographers and they and myseleves will now never buy from Camera world. I will also spread the word my bad experiance about. Jacobs was cheaper not only on the Camera body, but batteries and cards too. So all in all I walked off with the best deal. It's a shame that those two people undid all of Simons hard and good work.

Selling Goods They Simply Do Not Have...
After reading good reviews about this company on the web I looked at the website (which was a bit clunky and account set up problematic but no great problem). Prices were very good so first time round I ordered some lens bags which....never came! A week later I e-mailed to get an update, nothing for two days then a message saying sorry they had run out and could not get any more. They would refund the money back to my account which they had taken out for stock they didn't have (which to be fair did happen ten days later). These things happen I guess but in the process of waiting for their goods I missed a good deal from one of their competitors on the same item, in all I ended up paying nearly twice for the goods then the initial price I was promised at Cameraworld.co.uk. Anyway, tough luck. Two weeks ago another good deal came up for screen calibration equipment. Again a good deal undercutting a rival who also had a special deal on this item. One last chance I thought. I bought the goods which were meant to be 'in stock’; money was taken from my card and guess what........nothing. After two e-mails and a phone call and various issues it turns out they have run out of this item again...and oh, what a surprise, the competitor’s web site no longer has an offer on!!! Coincidence??? Let’s see how long it takes to get the money back this time. I won't be buying from this lot again, I simply don't trust them

Needed Advice On Slr Camera Options, Was Given Gre
Needed advice on SLR camera options, was given great service and great advice which resulted in me purchasing at a price that I could not beat elsewhere. I would definitely recommend Cameraworld to anyone looking for excellent product knowledge combined with great value.
