Quest Q885 Speakers
I purchased a used pair on new like condition. My first thought was thede are large speakers. Got them home hooked them up to my smaller system and they blew my mind with the performance. I have apogees mb quarts atc bw really just about every speaker in the 2000 dollar range and they held there ground. If you can get a pair its worth the money. I had also figured that if they wasn't right I would replace the drivers and crossovers. Nope I will be listening to them.for a while until the nug hits me agsin. They are power hungry.

Just To Let You Guys Know That You Have Bought Som
Just to let you guys know that you have bought some serious performance speakers. I work at future shop and although I did not like the first line in these Quest Q885 speakers the new line is amazing. I currenly have polk audio that retail for 1600.00 and I bought the quest towers for rear surround. I know they sounded great in the store but I was worried how they would compare to the polk audios.
The quest compare very well to any brand name speaker but the fact that they are so cheap blows my mind. I have seen many lines of speakers that are low cost but never any that compare to the quest. Just after buying the towers I went back to get the center channel. I'm just waiting for these guys to release a bigger sub and I'll be in heaven while my neighbors are in hell because I have the cranked up every weekend.I power these with a Harmon/Kardon amp they handle it superbly.

I Purchased These Quest Q885 Stereo Speakers From
I PURCHASED THESE QUEST Q885 STEREO SPEAKERS FROM FUTURE SHOP FOR 200 AND CHANGE. THE REASON, THEY WILL NO LONGER BE CARRYING THEM. THE SPEAKERS ARE MADE BUY JBL AND HAVE OUT SELLING THE JBLS FOR THE PAST YEAR.
SO MY WORD TO THE WISE IF YOU HAVE THE ROOM FOR THESE SPEAKERS YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPOINTED. I ALSO FOUND THAT THESE SPEAKER LIKE POWER I HAVE A RUBBISH NONE DESCRETE AMPLIFIER THATS RATED FOR 100W/P/C AND THE SPEAKERS WILL TAKE EVERTHING IT HAS.

4 Months Ago Futureshop Had A Good Deal On Quest Q
4 months ago Futureshop had a good deal on Quest Q610... I bought a pair. Came back home, plugged them, go back to the store and get another pair! So great for the price. (90$/pair)
Recently they had good deal on Quest Q885... 220$/pair. Even better then the Q610.
Now I have two Q885 as my main speakers, on QC50 as my center and two Q610 as my rear speakers. For the price I paid for this kit you can't beat them... To get the same quality you would have to pay at least twice the money. Very happy.

I Just Bought These Quest Q885 Speakers On July 13
I just bought these Quest Q885 speakers on July 13th, specifically for their bi-wire capability. In Feb. I bought a Technics DA10 receiver, with bi-amp capability. So far the speakers have stood up to the receiver, the volume was loud enough to be almost painful and the Q885s didn't complain at all, there was no discernible distortion or clipping of the bass signals and the highs were crystal clear. I was quite impressed with the speakers when I heard them in the store hooked to a traditional single amp, but the bi-amping makes them sound better, as with separation of the high and low signals the clarity is improved. I do find that they sound a little tiny when listening to some older recordings but I think that is due more to the limitation of the recordings and not the capability of the speakers. Overall I would say these speakers sound as good or better than some of the pricier big name brands and are a particularly good value for anyone who's looking for bi-wire capable speakers. These are the first I've come across for less than a $1000CDN

Having Purchased These Quest Q885 Speakers 3 Days
Having purchased these Quest Q885 speakers 3 days ago, I am fairly impressed with the sound quality. These are a tower design with (2) 8" dual drivers & (1) 1" soft dome tweeter, with dual rear port, they stand about 44" tall. The lower end is fairly snappy in bass and the highs are clear and soft sounding. The pair was purchased for $400.00 canadian, at future shop, and in respect to dollar bang for speaker, I'm very impressed so far. My only disappointment is the lack of knowledge from the salesman in regards to who builds "QUEST" speaker line but he was helpful in the info that quest speakers have been in the market now for 3 years and is carried by "eriksonconsumer". They carry fairly decent pro line equipment-check out the site for more info. My quality rating of 7 is due to lack of experiance with this brand and may warrant a higher rating in the future. Needless to say, if I am impressed in about 1 months time I will purchase a second set of the Q885.
P.S I did not mind taking a chance on a little known speaker and am fairly happy so far in my purchase.
I just purchase the same speakers and i have to say that they are great. The price was just right ($214.00 at Future shop). I was planning on buying the sub as well but this speaker is just enough. The sales guy did not know much about the speakers but i got them mainly because of the price.
