Terrible Company & Terrible Terrible Customer Service!!!
Do not touch this firm with a bargepole. I have waited in all day for a Zanussi cooker I purchased on last Friday. It is now 4:45 and decided to read the confirmation email. Having read it, I found out the date had been changed without notifying me. I telephoned their customer service department and the person who answered the phone said' what would you like me to do about it'? He was very rude. I asked to speak to someone else and was told that the person I needed to speak to was too busy to talk to me and that I can have a refund because they do not have the cookers in stock. Having made it clear that I would like to speak to him anyway he did come to the phone and told me the company who they get the stock from (he said they are linked to Comet) have gone bust and I would hear about it on the news.
I commented that even if I went ahead with the purchase my cooker would not have been delivered anyway. He conceded this would have been the case. With reference to the changed date, he tried to blame the error onto me. When I challenged him that in no way would I have chosen the later date because I teach and this is half-term so the only time I can wait all day during the week, he then said this may have been an administrative error. Having read some of the comments on this site they seem to regularly do this.
He has given me a refund but tells me it may take a few days for this to go through, leaving my family without a cooker.
Do not trust these people and don't expect any good customer service because you will not get any.

I vowed i would write a review about this company wether it was good or bad as I was convinced people only ever write if it's bad.
I bought a kenwood mixer through the ebay store (so at least I had their back up if it went wrong) I paid for express delivery and was emailed the next day with a delivery date.
I decided to get it emailed to my husbands office as there is always somebody there.
First phone call to Kitchen science(2p.m)a pleasent girl tells me that the product is on the transit and was meant to have been delivered that morning. She explained it should be there any time now and it was with yodel. She then gave me my reference number.
second phone call (4.30pm) It's still in transit it is on it's way and can be delivered upto 8p.m I explained my husband only worked till 6 and asked what would happen. He said that it would be delivered the next day.
I checked Yodel using tracking number apparantly it is still in Manchester.
I Phone Kitchen science again (yes third time 6p.m) I explained I have checked Yodel and have been told all day it's coming when it hasn't even left Manchester. The man goes away and puts me on hold for 10 minutes returns to tell me he isn't sure who's fault it is but the parcel has left them and they are not sure where it is. He has spoken to home delivery and it's happened to a few people! I am so cross that they just didn't tell me this in the first place. Super glad i didn't take a day off. It is so, so true that in life you get what you pay for. I'm not sure if it is Yodel fault or Kitchen Science but they need to chat to each other and sort it out.
I am reserving the two stars for if my product ever turns up in one piece.

Absolutely No Grumbles!
Best price I could find on the internet, good website, good explanation of what I would get, from the washing machine, small charge to book the delivery time and explanation of what I needed to do (they were removing my old machine) - what I could expect of them and they of me. Arrived as stated, well packaged and helpful delivery men wheeled one in and one out.
No problems, no grumbles, they did exactly what they said!!

Faulty Panasonic Combination Microwave Nn-cf778sbpq
Bought 29th March 2012. The product when working is excellent. I was recommended it by a friend and as there is only 2 of us at home thought it was great to use instead of using a large oven. The friend that recommended it was visiting a couple of weeks ago and thought it was much slower than hers, though I had been pleased up until then. Yesterday being 24th May I tried to use the grill for the first time and found it did not work.
I called Kitchen sciences this morning and was left hanging on the phone to the repair department for 15 minutes, I had to ring off to make another call, when I called back I was told to call Panasonic direct as they did all the repairs. Having called Panasonic they said they shouldn't have done that they should have just replaced the machine. They then passed me on to a local repair shop which is a 34 mile roundtrip. Thanks Kitchen Science for the lousy customer care. Panasonic inverter microwave looks to be very good just buy it somewhere else

Beware Rotten Service
I have bought stuff from them in the past without problems but it is very much how a company behaves when things do not go to plan that counts.
I waited in for delivery. I had paid extra for a morning slot. When the delivery did not arrived I rang. The call centre person said: "It's tomorrow, we've changed it" (No apology) then (get this) ...
"Is there anything else I can help you with?"
I asked for refunded delivery: "No"
I asked to speak to someone else: "Not possible"
As WHICH said (of Ryan Air but generally true):
Customers find out the hard way that cheaper does not necessarily mean better.
I would never queue up to be treated like this again, it's worth a few pounds to me to have appointments kept and apologies made in the event of mishaps.

Excellent Service
Despite some unflattering Internet reviews for this company,I ordered a Hotpoint washing machiine from them mainly due to the very competitive price on offer and the fact that immediate delivery was available.I was not disappointed.
The website was excellent,the ordering process simple and delivery made as scheduled.
Kitchen Science is apparently owned by Kesa Electricals,one of Europe's largest electrical retailers.Kesa also owns the more familiar Comet brand.

Brilliant Service!
Found a cooker we wanted on the website and was a bit worried about ordering a cooker online but it was cheaper than anywhere else so gave it a go and we have been really impressed!
The cooker arrived today, we chose the installation service and it was installed professionally and the two guys couldn't have been nicer!
On the two occasions I rang the company to make enquiries, the phone has been answered quickly and my queries have been handled in a friendly manner.
I simply can't fault the service we have received - very impressive!

I called the call centre the Friday afternoon to confirm all was in order for the Monday delivery of my new fridge. The call centre person was friendly and helpful and confirmed all was on track. The courier called me 30 minutes before they were due to deliver to let me know when they would arrive. The courier company used is OnCall. They delivered the new fridge with no hassle and removed the old one (you have to order this removal service at the time of choosing your new item). Would definitely use this supplier again.

That is the space where my cooker (used to be)!!!! RUBBISH. Cooker ordered beginning of Feb - old cooker removed as expected delivery date in 10 days time and we were having a new floor put down etc. Day before delivery expected, phoned just to confirm and was told "ooops, sorry we forgot to tell you - none in stock and we can't deliver for 2-3 weeks, someone was meant to ring you but we forgot".Give them their due they did pay for our old cooker reconnecting (after a lot of argey bargey). But then......no sign of new cooker despite repeated phone calls, till last week and they said delivery 9th March. Hey ho cooking on gas!!! I rang them this Tuesday to double check and was assured we were booked in morning slot this Friday, sooooo I got my plumber to come outtoday and disconnect my old cooker (AGAIN!!!). Then, my husband received a phone call from Kitchen Science this afternoon to say they can't deliver and it's looking like beginning of April now!!!! Would that be 1st of April by any chance??? I will never give this lot the time of day!!!

I cannot get in touch with this firm. I purchased an oven and took out an extended warranty but the number is not in use and my emails keep being sent back. How can I find out where to contact them?
