Suzuki 1800

I have had my Suzuki 1800 for around 9 months and it is not holding up very well at all.

The chrome finish is starting to go dull, the very expensive servicing costs, the fuel economy is dire and some bad electronics (rev counter stops then goes backwards ?.

I have had to have the head bearings replaced under warranty and the injection sensors, front fork left leg (upside down part sprung a leak (also done under warranty).

I have not got rid of the bike and bought a Honda VTX1800 with 3,000 miles on the clock and have had not one problem, I may have had a bad bike from new but it is Bike for the weekend and to sit on and look good at the sea side as i can not now see any practicality of the Suzuki 1800, The extras cost a fortune even for a silly part,

This is my opinion based on owning a new Suzuki 1800 so be warned if you have a second hand one as you will have no warranty just bill after bill after bill from the garage.

I had my bike for nearly 2 years, a year old when i got it, and no problems what so every, and it still look good.

I have a few Harley in the past and they all had problems and a victory jackpot, oil light came on and wouldn't go out, big engine trouble in the end..

All I can said the intruder m1800 is one of the best bike I have every own, I been all over the uk and Europe, easy to work on and It nearly has 22000 miles on the clock.

Suzuki Intruder 1800

Simply, simply the best modern cruiser to buy, ive just part ex one in black with a back seat for one in white blue stripe no back seat ( this is for me) low mileage, best colour combo to get. This has best street prescence then any harley/victory/triumph etc etc. Im a hard nut on this bike..... come on then! Just trying to give you the sense of the feeling public.

Suzuki Intruder Review By Www.intrudercruz.forumotion.co.uk

Hi since I have owned the bike I have learnt that this thing is a beast, it has style and really stands out so much so we started a forum in it honour www.intrudercruz.forumotion.co.uk the bike itself has a lot of room for modifications which a lot are simple bolt on products, its comfy enough for distance and a pose around town, we love the bike at intrudercruz and really would like to promote the bike as much as possible, the bike is simply awesome and I've not regretted the purchase, for its size it is nimble and fast, at slow speeds its ok but if you add a tre is will smooth it right out, I would certainly recommend this bike if you don't believe me please go test ride one then come join intrudercruz on uk rideouts its an amazing sight and sound, if there is anymore info you need regarding the bike feel free to drop in and say hi we are not a business just a huge fan of this bike who will give honest opinions

Regards intrudercruz

I will be collecting my Intruder m1800r up next week. I am a little concerned because all I seem to read is that some Intruders had gear problems, jumping out of 2nd gear.

I love the bike, it is a 2012 model with 3800 miles on the clock. Blue with white stripe.

Does anyone know how I can find out if this problem was ever cured. Thanks in advance.

Vzr1800r

I have been on two wheels for 35 years now and pretty much owned most things,Sports bikes, retros muscle bikes. never owned a cruiser. Saw one in the local dealers and traded in my old one. From the first 50 yards I was hooked. What a bike easy to handle and hides its weight well at nearly 750 pounds fully fuelled. The only problem I have is fighting off the crowds to get back on it once I have parked up, a real crowd puller.

Great at low speed and awesome acceleration if the desite takes you.

Thanks Suzuki for giving me the Grin factor again.

Very good jet boat. Light weight. Handles good on water. Turns on a dime. Very Fun!

Batteries are very hard to get to.

What A Machine It Is A Cruiser But It Has An Aweso

What a machine it is a cruiser but it has an awesome acceleration. Only problems that I have is the grinding of the front pegs and the heels of my boots going round corners due to pegs being so low. But hey I can cope with this. BUY ONE

Passed My Test At The End Of Sept 2010 And Bought

Passed my test at the end of Sept 2010 and bought this bike the following day. Absolutely awesome machine! Can't keep the grin off my face and I look forward to riding every mile. A bit ponderous in corners (this may be me being tentative) but acceleration is awesome, looks fantastic - a real head turner. So glad I have learnt to ride as part of my mid life crisis!!!

The M1800r Is An Awesome Bike To Ride And Handles

The M1800R is an awesome bike to ride and handles great, but does have to

be treated with lots of respect because its not a very forgiving bike if

you get it wrong in a corner etc. The build quality could be better, but if

looked after and cleaned regular it should be ok. The acceleration is

breath taking and certainly gives you the big grin factor. Ive had loads

of different bikes over the last 30 years, but this is definitely one of

the best for comfort, never had a numb bum yet, even after 300 mile rideouts.

If anyone is interested there is a growing UK owners forum that covers the

M1800R and all of the other Suzuki Intruder/Boulevard models on
