I Own A 2004 Flhti And Did Ride It In The Last 5 Y
I own a 2004 FLHTI and did ride it in the last 5 years for 50000 km without any problems. Even high in the European mountains, or in heavy rain fall on the German highway the bike runs verry good. Compared to the Japanese bikes I'll owned before, the build quality ( frame welding, chrome and bolts exhaust )is not so verry good. And the open space for the radio looks really unfinished and bad.
Handling of the bike is ok, but in fast curves the heavy bike is behaving like a freighttrain and that means 'all hands on board !!
Nice thing that HD desided to mount ABS and Brambo brakes on the new 2009 up FLHTI, because the rear brake of the older models is blocking verry fast.
The FLHTI is the best Harley Davidson model you can buy if you want to see what's behind the horizon and real value for your money.
I'll will buy again a 2010 model FLHTI for sure. Its a nice ride if you dont need a CD/MP3 player and a topcase. Instead buy the cheaper luggage rack, trow on your stuff and hit the road !

If You Are Looking For A Bike To Sunday Cruise Or
If you are looking for a bike to Sunday cruise or travel across the country without breaking the bank, the Harley Davidson Electra Glide Standard - FLHT is it. It is especially good with 2 persons on board. The only real competition I found were the bigger bore Yamaha/Star cruisers which are reasonably close in price and features, with the FLHT clearly being the best for my type of riding. I would suggest a test ride before purchase to get a good feel before spending $17,000 for a new one, I think you will be impressed.

The Harley Davidson Electra Glide Is A Pretty Big
The Harley Davidson Electra Glide is a pretty big bike that doesn't feel that big. It is even more 'flickable' than my Dyna and doesn't feel as heavy. I wish the bars came back another couple of inches but that's mainly because I replaced the stock seat with a Corbin that is built for taller guys. My first long trip is coming up in a few weeks and that should give me a better picture of what I've gotten myself into!

Would Highly Recommend This Bike To Anyone Looking
Would highly recommend this bike to anyone looking for a comfortable cruiser, plenty of storage space with the saddle bags which lock. Recommend adding cruise control which works very well, also highly recommend fuel injection. Gets 40 mpg on the road.

Feels Much Lighter When It Is Moving. Comfortable
Feels much lighter when it is moving. Comfortable seat.
Reliable twin cam, pulls well for a stock bike.
Twenty thousand miles in two years and I have nothing to complain about. Gets better fuel mileage (40+ mpg) than my friends Honda Goldwing.
a 2006 (Carb) FLHT model with 20,000+ miles in two years. It looks good, handles well and is reliable. I would buy another if necessary.

A Comfortable Bike To Ride To Town Or Anywhere Two
A comfortable bike to ride to town or anywhere two times zones away. This is probably the best bike I've ever had. It is a very comfortable touring bike.
Feels much lighter when moving. It is a big bike. The motor pulls well especially at low - mid rpm. Dunlop tires got me almost 17,000 kilometers on rear, and I'm still on the original front tire! This bike is reliable and always ready to go. Gas mileage (40+mpg) is better than my friends fel injected GoldWing ! My 2006 FLHT has the carb.

Overall I Rate My Harley Davidson Electra Glide Ve
Overall I rate my Harley Davidson Electra Glide very highly, it's the 3rd Harley that I have owned and I would definately have another one, the bad point about it being hard to push around is very minor, after all it is built to be ridden and that is something that it does very well. The bike is very smooth to ride, really nice air suspension that smooths out even the worst roads, wise to invest in an air pump though, saves visits to the garage to blow up the suspension as like all others it does require routine maintenance. The engine is tried and tested and is very smooth with plenty of power, massive fuel tank too so there is no need for frequent stops. The screen could do with being a little taller, being 6 feet tall the wind does batter your head slightly at any speed above 60 mph and having a radio cassette fitted to a Harley is no use at all, on the move there is no chance of hearing it unless you are connected by headphones or have the volume turned right up, ok for some people but not me, summing up, buy one, a great bike.
