I Booked This Restaurant Before I Went To The Tatt

I booked this restaurant before I went to the Tattoo. It was advertised as an early supper and had a low price tag, however, I would expect it to be well cooked. The soup was fairly bland and consisted of a few chopped vegetables with three pieces of pasta. The main course was even worse. A small piece of poached cod in a soup bowl swimming with the poaching water into which a few apparently tinned chick peas and beans had been added. The best was the excellent wine that I had chosen myself, good brown bread and passable coffee. The surprising thing was this supposed cheap meal was not only the worst during my stay but also dearer than the other two meals that I had from the a la carte in Fishers Bistro and the Outsider. I feel that it is time for the Witchery to provide well cooked food worth the money and not merely to rest on its reputation.

Went To The Witchery In Edinburgh On My Daughter's

Went to The Witchery in Edinburgh on my daughter's birthday and she did not want me to complain so wrote them a letter of complaint to which I did not get a reply. A letter of apology would have sufficed. Did not live up to write up on their own website. Cost us £400 for six people and would have had better food at a restaurant charging half the price or less. Would not return.
