Will Cut Anything

Had one of these for over six years in my job and has not let me down, apart from a few rust holes on the deck it has been most reliable on any grassed area types.

Wont Cut Short

I find that this mower will not cut the grass short enough. I understand that with a wide wheel base I am not going to achieve a bowing green finish but I would like to have a lawn that looks cut not just the tops out. Recently serviced [ after ] one years use and had to have a new drive pulley fitted [£40] and £65 for the service. Help please.

Challenger Premier Rl534 Lawnmower From Focus

Now three yrs old. First year good, second year front wheel fell off, and now after third year self propelled drive system will probably require complete overhaul !. As mentioned in other reviews, the Honda engine is very good, and it will outlive all the other mower components by years!

From a financial viewpoint, it probably will be better to replace it next year, rather than repair it - although for a better quality machine I know that I will need to pay much more.

Owned Champion Premier Since 2006, Used For 2 Seas

Owned Champion Premier since 2006, used for 2 seasons on 1/3 acre, Honda engine ultra reliable, shame the self propelled gearbox isn't the same quality, stopped working at start of 3rd season, needs replacement gearbox approx. £65.00 to buy, then it's upto me to fit. Overall i've found the smaller Champion 46cm cut self propelled works just as well (a lot cheaper as well), it's lighter and easier to move and turn around has been working great now for 2 seasons, the self propelled gearbox is the same as the premier anyway!.

Champion Premier Self Propelled Petrol Mower Has A

Champion Premier Self Propelled Petrol Mower has a Honda engine and good build quality although back wheels could be a little larger.

Good solid deck, easy to repair cheap parts and service once a year and off it goes owned since 2002.

I Use My Champion Premier Self Propelled Petrol Mo

I use my Champion Premier Self Propelled Petrol Mower as a spare or when the ground is very wet for my gardening business, my mower is 5 years old and has completed at least 200 hours of hard mowing. Cheap and reliable, honda engine starts well, cuts well even when the grass is wet. No bad points, only just I find the drive to slow.

I've Had My Champion Premier Self Propelled Petrol

I've had my Champion Premier Self Propelled Petrol lawn mower for 8 years and do not treat it well or service it. I've had no problems at all. Can't fault it :-)

Q&A

Adamthwaite

I'm having problems starting champion premier mower. What should I do?

Aeronview

I would like some advise on my Champion Premier self propelled mower. Basically I have lost the self propel. If I turn the drive shaft manually it will turn the drive roller, if i pull the handle I can see the spring mechanism working on the drive shaft. The chain mechanism is intact and fine. Therefore I assume on the drive shaft it must be some sort of clutch mechanism rather than a drive belt. Anyone have any advise on what could be causing the self propel to fail?

Thanks
