As an electrician its important I get quality reliability and consistent delivery performance
having used shop4electrical over the last 3 years the delivery has been great returns process fills you with confidence and prices are always competitive
If your unsure try phoning them, the number is there and easy to find - unlike other suppliers who don't really went to talk to you
If I was to ask for any thing it would be to ring me if you have a delay in shipping rather than me having to chase

Shop4 / discount electrical are certainly the worst electrical supplier that we have dealt with. They lack product knowledge, have zero customer loyalty, don’t respond to emails, charge a 25% return fee (if you are lucky enough to actually fulfil their returns policy!), don’t care about trade clients and lack a basic awareness of how to run a business.
We have been purchasing products from them for several years and the first time we needed to exchange a product as the client changed their minds, we were met with “no”. The products were unopened, unused and in perfect, re-sellable condition and we just wanted to exchange for another product.
I asked for clarification as to why they refused and received nothing in reply. A second email was also ignored.
In the 22 years of running our businesses we have never found a company with such a total disregard for customers. My advise is to shop elsewhere, as we are. All the other on line and local electrical wholesalers offer the same products, similar prices and a returns policy that reflects an understanding of customer value.
I guess Shop4 / discount electrical are the RyanAir of on line electrical “suppliers”.

A part of the bundle I purchased was missing. They won't take responsibility for it and so I have to spend another £100+ to purchase the part separately.
Very disappointed customer. I would really not recommend them to anyone. Especially as I had called their sales team before purchase to confirm the package inclusion.

Absolutely Useless. Genuine Risk For Any Business Using Them
Used to use these quite a bit and they used to be really good. Order by 2pm and you would have your stuff the next day.
Not anymore. After a few order mishaps that I put down to human nature I now conclude that there has been a fundamental change in the company and it is run by incompetents.
Final straw was yesterday.I placed an order on 27/11 for fitting 2 x fan systems in time for yesterday (1/12). By 29th there was still no shipping information so they hadn't been sent. I emailed them cancelling the order and they phoned me morning of 2/12 saying the fans were late arriving and they would be sent out to the address where they were being fitted. I accepted this and then the package turned up with items missing from the order.
Instead of having everything I needed to complete the job onsite, I then had to leave the premises to source the missing items.
Previous orders have had items missing, light fittings arrived with broken lamp tubes.
This is the final straw for me.You need to avoid this lot. What you think you save in prices, you will more than pay for in covering your tracks through their incompetence,

I ordered 2 items from this company. 1) Chased them as nothing after 3 weeks 2) delivered with no warning, 3) both items damaged, 4) agreed time to return items and receive replacements and took the day off, 5) items returned, only one was expected to be collected, 6) didn't deliver new items, 7) chased up and told issue with FedEx 8) weren't keen to return money but have done so to be fair 9) new item then delivered (signed for by neighbour in good faith), they hadn't got in contact with FedEx to get them returned - and only one not two had been delivered 10) now waiting to see if they come back and collect this unwanted item today (wouldn't collect at the weekend and wouldn't commit to the time).
They didn't answer all emails, and generally service was very poor - very inflexible and do appreciation that people work and need to commitment from the company. I wasted a days holiday and had to arrange for 2 other people to cover the collection for item delivered in error.

Awful, Totally Disinterested Once They Have Your Money.
Terrible service, once they have your money they couldn't care less about any issues.
I ordered a central heating timer on behalf of a relative. Despite showing as 'In stock' at the time of order, the item wasn't dispatched until nearly 6 weeks after the date of order (and payment).
Despite being charged £7.50 for delivery, the timer was posted standard Royal Mail second class, with absolutely no tracking or insurance. Needless to say, it never arrived.
Numerous phone calls to Shop4Electricals proved useless. The man on the phone was downright rude at worst and disinterested at best. I was initially fobbed off with 'Wait 15 days for Royal Mail to deliver it' / 'Check your local sorting office'. After this time had long passed, and Royal Mail had checked for it several times, the item still hadn't arrived. Numerous promises by Shop4Electric to 'investigate' what had happened to the item and call us back never materialised. I never received one single call back despite me contacting them more than 10 times. On multiple occasions the phone rang and rang without being answered, several times it was answered but then immediately hung up.
All attempts to contact Shop4Electricals to have the issue resolved have proved absolutely fruitless, they simply do not care about any problems once they have your money. In the end I've been forced to resort to pursuing a refund through my credit card company, not something I enter into lightly but Shop4Electricals have left me no other option at this stage. Perhaps they will find the credit card company a little harder to ignore than their customers.
A pity really, they have a good range of stock and their prices are reasonable, just a pity they don't have a clue about after service.
If you do buy from them, I thoroughly recommend you use a credit card as I did, so you have some means of come back should they fail to fulfil your order.

I returned an item on 10 April 2015 and waited to be reimbursed. I sent an email and received no acknowledgement. Rang them last Thursday to be told I would hear from them on Friday. Heard nothing from them. Sent an email yesterday ( still no response since last week). I rang this morning - again they said they had not received my email - then they said I would get a refund 'as soon as possible'. Most obnoxious person - really talks down to customers. I have never left negative feedback like this before but his whole attitude just wound me up. Don't know how this company is still in business with this attitude. All for a refund of £23.60! quite frankly I now couldn't care less if I get a refund.

Even Better Than Expected
I ordered a Triton T80Z unit to replace an old MIRA shower. I received confirmation, then an invoice and then a delivery tracking order with contact details of the delivery company. The unit arrived within two days.
When the plumber attempted to fit it, he found that it was lareger than the previous and rather than extensive plumbing work, that I tried another make/unit.
I contacted the company but they were unable to supply an appropriate one. So I ordered from another company. I rang Shp4Electricals and arranged for the Trton shower to be returned . The collection was arranged to be within 24 hours at a cost of £20 using their service. I could have made my own arrangments if needed but opted for theirs.
I expect the refund shortly.

They Couldn't Care Less
I ordered a couple of outdoor wall lights which I could not find anywhere else. They arrived late, damaged and the packaging was so bad that I would have been surprised if it had arrived in one piece. The box the items were put in were far too small for the items, they folded the top part over rather than getting a bigger box, didn't bother taping it, just put the straps around it.
Called to ask for replacements and was dealt with as though I was in the wrong or just boring/annoying the person for no good reason. Awefull.
Last thing i buy on the internet if I can help it.
