Amazing Food And Amazing Value!

Whilst walking around Covent Garden, myself and my partner were looking for somewhere to eat. Passing the usual 'chains' and A-Boards quoting ridiculous prices, we walked down Southampton Street and noticed a sign for Bistro 1. 2 Courses were being quoted as £6.90 and 3 courses for £7.90. Now, this being London, we were very dubious but we thought (for the price) lets give it a go. We were so glad we did!

Inside is a lovely atmosphere, with plenty of welcoming staff. The menu itself is a set menu, but with plenty of choice. There's a choice of about 8-10 starters, 10-12 mains and several desserts. You can also, for a little extra (roughly £2) upgrade to chefs specials. The food is mainly of mediterranean variety and the portion sizes are aplenty.

Since this visit, we have been back nearly every time we have visited London. Bistro 1 also have branches in other parts of London and we visited the Soho branch when we went to the Palace Theatre to see a show (which was just around the corner). This is also a very good restaurant.

Please bear in mind that because of the popularity, and the price, of this establishment, it does get VERY busy. If you're thinking of visiting on a weekend and have a time in mind, I would strongly recommend that you book via their website and reserve a table in advance. I'd hate for you to miss out on what I would say is truly a little gem of an eatery!! Enjoy!
