Rusting Neff Oven And Microwave Installed December 2011
Like some others on this site we bought Neff appliances as we understood them to be of good quality and bought 2 conventional ovens a B15E42N0GB and a B15M42N0GB, a microwave oven C67M70NOGB and a plate warmer.
Initially we were somewhat concerned that the frame around the inside of the microwave door was badly distorted caused by a build up of corrosion products, this occurred over a period of time slowly getting worse. We were rather slow inrealising that this needed sorting and only got around to contacting Neff about the problem in October 2016 about 2 months before the 5 year warranty ran out. Neff asked us to send photographs of the problem area. Unfortunately we forgot/ were too busy until early February this year when the top element and panel in one of our conventional ovens collapsed onto the roast that was being cooked at the time. Again corrosion was the problem, this time the single self tapping that screw that holds the front of the top heating element and top panel had come away from the top part of the oven with a disc of corroded metal.
We now did contact Neff and they agreed to send an engineer at no cost to us to look at the problems. The engineer confirmed that the microwave door was corroded and would need replacement. The cost of this would be £195 less a 25% discount with no fitting charge. Next the engineer checked the oven and confirmed the problem. Unfortunately the top of the oven was so badly corroded that the only repair that Neff offered, a blind riveted screw fixing, was not possible. This time it appears that replacement is the only solution, Neff again offering a modest discount for the new oven. The Neff ovens are now a different design and the replace the will no longer match the remaining appliances.
We are very disappointed that these appliances are so badly built/designed that they fail after such a short time especially as they were very expensive. We are even more disappointed at the failure of Neff to recognise that the appliances were not fit for purpose and to provide replacements at no cost. It is clear from reading other reviews that this is a common problem with Neff appliances. For Neff to argue that food was left in the ovens too long as the cause of the problems is laughable, by their very purpose ovens are going to be subject to a hot damp environment which will lead to accelerated corrosion and should designed and built to meet those conditions. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, DO NOT BUY NEFF APPLIANCES. You should also treat other products from the Siemens group with caution.

I Thorougly Agree With That Last Neff Review Writt
I thorougly agree with that last Neff review written on this site.
Our oven looks as though it was the model before hers - we purchased it in 2003. However way back in 2006 it started to develop small rusty holes in the roof of the upper oven - just above the grill element. These have now grown to size which does not look safe.
We contacted Neff (who take ages to reply) They said they could replace the panel at a cost of £180. They also said that they thought the cause of these holes was the grilling of dishes with a large amount of moisture in and then leaving them in the oven.
Who would do this with a Shepherds,Cottage or Fish Pie. When its grilled on top you remove it - otherwise cinders.
I wish you could post photos on this site - they look horrendous!
We paid in excess of £900 for this oven and so have expectations that it would last, at least, 10 years without a problem. My mother has a Canon oven of over 25 years and its still going strong.
Avoid Neff if want quality and safety and good customer service.

I Bought My Neff Oven Model U1422n0gb D On 22/03/2
I bought my neff oven model U1422N0GB D on 22/03/2007, I am disgusted with the cheap materials used in the manufacture of this expensive item. I have had to call out your engineers twice on warranty to replace the lugs witch hold the racks for the shelves in the oven. These were made of a britle cast metlal. Now the heating element has blown, and to take the plate off at the rear of the oven, the screws had rusted in place and had to be drilled out, also the inside of this plate is rusting badly. The engineer I used could not believe it was only 2years 7months old, and I am disgusted and would not buy another Neff. My contact details if you wish to discuss are [email protected]
Obviously has not been intouch with Neff who would have sorted this out.
