Absolutely loved the event I attended in Southampton last night, the host was super friendly and it was great to meet other local people.

I was a little nervous prior to the event, but I was reassured instantly and as soon as I got chatting to some of other ladies - I was fine!

I know for a fact I have made some good friends from the event - hopefully some love interests too! :P

This was my first time speed dating & after having a lot of bad experiences with internet dating, I was a bit dubious & pessimistic about it. The venue itself was lovely & the hostess for the night was very welcoming & cheerful. However, I did find that most of the guys there were more towards the older end of the age range, which was 37-52, which did limit my choice a lot as the initial physical attraction wasn't there for me. I did match with one of the guys I met, however like with internet dating, the contact between us has been disappointing since swapping numbers & I'm not expecting anything to come of it. The only other guy I ticked hasn't even submitted his choices!

I did have a good night overall & I go to another event but I certainly won't be building my hopes up next time like I probably did with this one.

I had to pull out of an event I booked onto at the last minute due to bad weather. I was expecting to have lost my money and have to go through the booking process again for a future event. Instead, the Events Manager emailed me back within an hour to say they had transferred my booking at no extra cost. Very happy!

i als think the time aloud to talk with each lady was too short

it was good I would say have a go its fun its way meeting people in reluxed way because everybody in the same boat

My event was cancelled the day before due to lack of make numbers. My first point would be that they must have realised this for a while and should have taken the decision earlier to cancel as it was very inconvenient.

However my main issue is that the email telling us it was cancelled did not say anything about getting a refund and said I had been booked on the next event. I don't think that is right and people who don't know their consumer rights would be fooled into thinking they couldn't get a refund. I emailed to say I would like a refund and the reply was - did I look at the other dates and again did not say I could have a refund. it was only when I pushed the point and said no I want a refund that this was processed. I think this is bad business practice and again penalises people who don't know their rights.

It has put me off using you again.

Would recommend speed dating for anyone looking for a date. 'Slow dating' seemed to be very professional and helpful. It's not an expensive evening either. The venue were not good at answering their phone which didn't help me when running late. This is no reflection on the company 'Slow dating' and would use them again anytime.

I attended 3 of these events in Exeter, first one was very good, ( 5 star ) quite well organized etc

But on the next 2 events in December, the first one there was 20 guys and 10 girls only, the second one there was 20 guys and only 9 girls.

These events only work well with equal numbers of both sex's.

Event booked was cancelled. Was offered another and hardly anyone was there - 7 guys & 9 women tops. Total waste of time.

Brilliantand Im sure I will be back. Dont forget us 40 year olds love 30s/40s nights. I always tell my friends and colleagues about how great your speed dating is and I think the only thing missing is the lack of national advertising and as such people are really nervous about the concept BUT I will always promote you guys and many thanks.
