I Had A Garmin Gps And Thought I'd Upgrade To A To

I had a Garmin GPS and thought I'd upgrade to a Tomtom Go 920! Boy was that a huge mistake! The mapping in it is so antiquated and not accurate at all. It takes me to vacant lots and says that is a shopping center!@ gets within two to three blocks of where I need to be on a consistant level. I paid $70 for a map upgrade and was assured that it would upgrade the names of the streets in my area. It didn't and when I advised them of this, they said that there was nothing that they could do! I wanted bluetooth to hook up to my phone, that worked for about a month, then quit, it will still hook to my brother's Tomtom 920, but not mine and they said it was the phone not the GPS. That's so incredibly stupid that it didn't even warrant an argument from me. I will either sell this on EBay or give it to the Salvation army and go and buy another Garmin. Tomtom sucks so bad! Only to be outdone by their service Department!

Good Software On The Tom Tom Go 920 But Only Usabl

Good software on the Tom Tom Go 920 but only usable on small trips due to poor battery - computer-based software not well structured.

Good screen, good time management although the software assumes travel at over legal speed limits.

Battery life nothing like the manufacturer claim. Yes, you can charge from the car but I don't want the cables trailing. A 75 minute battery life is no use on long journeys.

Easy Navigation Through Menus. I Had My Tom Tom Ju

Easy navigation through menus. I had my Tom Tom just 2 months and it stoped working. Also, when i first purchased my TomTom, it would shut down when I entered my home address. Interface with computer was dificult or troublesome. I wouldn't buy another TomTom. I got a Garmin to replace it and it works great.

When It Works, It Is So Good I Can Even Use It Whe

When it works, it is so good I can even use it when walking off road, as it shows me where I am in relation to roads. Unlike some recievers that seem determined to put me on the nearest road, even half a mile away! I would have given it a nine out of ten but for their after sales service. It's my third Tomtom (different generations) and they do have their fair share of software problems!

The Tomtom Go 920 Is Very Disappointing For A Qual

The TomTom Go 920 is very disappointing for a quality product to become useless after a couple of years due to very poor PC interface. Map update facility impossible. I spent 2 frustrating weeks trying to download current map of France. Support from TOMTOM not very good.

Website confusing.
