Dive Slum Dump

Would give minus 5 for this absolute ???? hole of accommodation ,was like moving into a dirty stinking slum ,not clean had some awful stink from around the fridge area pulling it out there was something not pleasant, the bedroom stunk also carpet was rancid made me feel quite ill, the tap in bathroom was nearly hanging off kids couldn't even use it ,shower I could pee faster, the double put you up bed for the kids was bent and broken with a mattress that was about 1 inch thick ,we had no kitchen which they kindly phoned 2 days before we arrived to inform us ,very shrewdly done ????????????, the front window was all misted up you couldn't even look out of it ,and window openers where hanging off

making it hard to open and close windows to let the stink out,

Condition of our unit no 17 in my opinion should be gutted and completely refurbished, and change layout to include a proper kitchen shower is all you need not bath with a pee dribble for a shower, basically a ???? hole I wouldn't recommend staying in any of there units ,and I'm not the only one that had this rip off expense as I talked to others,

Now the site .... all the Internet, info pics etc is a crock ,everything that you need ,restaurants, cafe ,one of the bars was closed and inoperative , no kids club ,no furry Cyril for kids ,so it's gonna cost you to amuse them in arcade which give you tickets for prizes which BTW are also ????, if you can get private renter most of the units are well presented I went in a couple and 1000 times better.

Save your £ and avoid this place ITS A DIVE,DUMP ,SLUM

Worst Holiday Ever!

We booked 2 short Easter breaks that followed on from one another. The first a bronze chalet, it was dirty and smelly, I don't think the cleaners had been in and cleaned at all! They hadn't left any linen which had been ordered when the booking was made, once I had walked up to the reception and collected the linen I got back to the chalet to find they hadn't given me enough. Overall the bronze chalet should be demolished it's rotting, smelly, the paint is peeling off and the carpets need burning, and to add the bathroom was a glorified broom cupboard. After that we booked in to a silver plus chalet. A lot nicer than the bronze but still the cleaners had failed again, the chalet was disgusting and needed a good scrub! We found tablets under the chair in the front room, luckily my children never found them! The shower plug hole was matted with hair the cooker was vile. In summary the cleaners need shooting, the accommodation is over priced and over rated, would definitely not return to Park holidays Landscove!!!!

So Good We've Rebooked For Next Year

I wasn't expecting much having read all the negative reviews online, but we were prepared to make the best of it. We upgraded before arrival to a silver caravan somewhat based on the reviews of the chalets. The caravan we were in was spotless and had uninterrupted sea views. There was lovely crisp clean linen on arrival. The clubhouse was the other end of the park which suited us as we didn't want late night noise waking up the kids. The entertainment was good - both children loved Loopy and Cyril, bingo was good and the later entertainment was excellent also, the team put so much effort in to pleasing everybody. We only ate on site once but what we had was good. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The park is well placed for exploring the local area and there is so much to do! I can't think of one bad thing to say about landscove. I don't know if we were just lucky with our accommodation, the chalets did look tired from the outside (I didn't see inside) but I've stayed in a chalet at Butlins and to be honest they didn't look any worse than those. I'd be happy to recommend landscove to anyone and am looking forward to going back next year.

Peaceful Coastal Location

We have just returned from 4 nights at Landscove, the park is small and friendly but has everything that you expect from a holiday park. The staff are all very nice and one of the entertainment staff is worthy of a review on his own really giving his all to entertain. The restaurant is very good value for money and they have a good varied menu. The swimming pools are very clean. I am more than happy with this park and would recommend to friends looking for a cheap quiet relaxing park.

" Pow Camp"

We booked a bronze chalet at Landscove holiday park, at a grand total of £1200 for 2 weeks. What we expected was not met in any way, we felt a PREMIUM price for a LOW BUDGET accommodation. In agreement with many of the other "inmates" who booked a hut! we were thouroughly disappointed with what we found. Here goes, disappointment from the onset very tired rundown accommodation, paint peeling and a shabby exterior, roof garden inluded!! The windows inside and out were filthy, looked like dog (inmate) saliva on them.Next dog hairs on the furniture, not good with a very sensitive child with many allergies, dust and dog hairs being the main ones! Hairs in the bath plug hole and weeks worth of sludge (disgusting!) plus the bathroom layout was strange to say the least one slip and your feet were washed in the toilet, the sink and toilet were so close to the shower it was almost impossible to get in the bath.Electric cable for shower barely covered with a blob of silicone, SHOCKING! Next the bedrooms, the heaters stank if you turned them on, yep burning dust! The pillows were as flat as pancakes and the mattress in the main room was a good eight-nine inches smaller than the base, extremely uncomfortable and squeaky, not good for someone prone to a slipped disk!! There were also holes and mould on the curtains, and they had been so badly bleached by the sun they had lost nearly all there colour. The tv was not tuned and had no remote therefore had no means of tuning it manually.I understand that you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear but I don't think you should charge a Kings ransom! The indoor pool was tiny and a little dirty underfoot also the staff did not enforce the rules which were clearly displayed regarding outdoor shoes and pool behaviour. Outdoor pool was much better, weather permitting. On the plus side the staff were friendly and helpful, and the area 'Berry Head' is outstandingly beautiful. We would never book with park again, call in Alex Polizzi!! VIVA THE GREAT ESCAPE!!!! Bartlett ' Big X'

What An Absolte Awful Place To Stay!

We booked a bronze chalet for the two of us and the dog. Reception was very poor i felt like i was interupting the two girls chat! The chalet was so old and poorly maintained! By the front door was a full dog poop scoop bag! The door was very poorly fitted! The chalet had a very odd smell and didnt not feel or look very clean at all! Sitting on the sofa it sank almost to the floor and was about as comfortable as sitting on the floor. On investigation there was a bloody used plaster between the cushions. The matresses on the beds where so old and used there was no paddong lefy on the springs. It was almost impossible to sleep on them and i felt brusied and battered every morning from sleeping on metal springs. The food is dreadful its overprice and some of the worst i have ever had put in front of me. When you have found something on the menu that they do have it takes forever to get to you and then is tastless and very poor. The restaurant is badly painted and very grubby the staff dont seem to care about anything they are serving. Entertainment is terrible very poor acts badly presented and orgsnised. I love the English Riviera area and did not let my holiday be spoilt by where i stayed

We Have Had Several Sun Holidays And Know The Torb

We have had several Sun holidays and know the Torbay area very well and can honestly say that, although the Landscove Holiday park is a bit out the way, our accommodation was very good (a silver plus chalet). It was clean, a priority for us, and very well equipped. In fact we have just booked another short break to go again in October. The only criticism we have is that the beds are a bit uncomfortable. The scenery along the coastal path is breathtaking. All in all we had a lovely holiday there and would recommend it to family and friends.

Stayed At Landscove On The 5th-9th June On Booking

Stayed at Landscove on the 5th-9th June On booking in everything seemed fine.Opened the cavavan door the musty damp smell hit us straight away. The caravan was dirty, had to clean the cooker before using it .The carpet still had dog hairs on it.Freezer part of the fridge dirty,Carpets in the bedrooms not been hoovered in months by look of it.Collected a pile of things from previous tenants including bottle tops cigarette ends empty packets sweet wrappers gave these to the receptionist on leaving and complained about filthy place only to be told I should have reported it and someone would be sent out to clean. How about doing it before we arrived.I wonder what overseas visitors think of us

We Stayed With Park Holidays Landscove Last June 2

We stayed with Park Holidays Landscove last june 2008 in a bronze caravan and it was very good, situated on the side of the site under trees by the football fields.the weather was hot & sunny for the two weeks so this was a bonus. lovely cliff walks down to the beach.fantastic views entertainment was good and the staff were very friendly.

The caravan was a three bedroom but the twin bedrooms were very small, but maybe that was our fault for letting to teenage girls take too many clothes!!!

must have been good as we're back again this year
