Erde 121

Mine is a few years old already, doing frequent tips and camping trips with absolutely no problems to date.

Looks good but could have caused my family great misery. Near side wheel snapped completely off after only using the trailer twice to carry camping equipment whilst returning from cornwall. This happen whilst on the motorway.

My Erde 121 is now 14 years old, and has been useful for Garden waste, taking luggage up to Uni, and camping trips. It has allowed me to run a small car, a Vauxhall Corsa, with its inherent cost saving on fuel, insurance and servicing costs over a larger vehicle. Maintenance has been easy, it needed a couple of new tyres, and wheel bearings after 12 years, and some Black Hammerite paint on the iron chassis. The wheel bearings and paint being a simple DIY job which I did myself. The galvanised metalwork is still in very good condition and needs no attention. I have also just bought the slightly larger Erde 142 trailer, and if it gives similar service I will be well pleased.
