Terrible Experience With Tc Credit Card

Had the TC credit card for just over 2 years. Kept going over its limited without declining resulting in me getting a £20 fine about 5 times. Website is quite often not working to monitor/pay off the card. Also website is very basic with limited user functionality. Low credit limit despite me having 999/1000 points for credit rating on Experian. Then hassle to use the points for purchasing a holiday, people in the TC shop didn't know how to do it - in the end had to pay and then wait for the money to be reimbursed. This isn't a good credit card so I cancelled it.

Card Blocked For No Reason

I tried to use my card to pay for a holiday booked through Thomas Cook Flexitravel. Unfortunately the card was 'referred to Bank' and blocked. I had just received a letter and new card telling me I have money in the account so I knew it wasn't through lack of funds.

Had an online chat with customer service and also rung the card help desk who informed me they had authorised the payment but the card is still declined.

I was then told in the online chat to try booking over the telephone (at my expense) only to find I was put on hold as no one was available.

Don't Thomas Cook want my booking?

This has got worse, we are now told that although we have no confirmation of a holiday being booked, not even an email, we have been charged for 3 holidays and maxed the card out.

Cannot Pay Money Onto My Card Because I Moved Home....

I've been with Thomas Cook Credit card for two years now and have never had a problem until now..

Due to my credit rating getting worse I decided to cut up my card and just pay payments each month by via their Thomas cook online banking, I didn't do direct debit because they wouldn't provide me a date suitable to pay each month.

For a year this was all good, I kept paying the payments on the card by paying each month by via online, when I moved home, the next time I tried to pay online my debit card did not match their records (Off course this issue was with the address).

I phoned up Thomas Cook to advice of my address change, I provided my password and my account number but when I replied 'No' to when they asked if I had my credit card in front of me they refused to change my address!!

They would only change my address if I provided two bills of my new address and post it to their head office... The frustrating thing was I couldn't pay by debit card because of this issue!! They didn't seem to care that if I didn't pay it would affect my credit rating... I tried to explain all I want to do is PAY off my card and the only solution was to pay by via lloydstsb online banking.

How can a company not be able to change your address after you provided your password and account number? Just silly!!

It was a very frustrating process as I have never done transactions by via lloydstsb online banking before and this took up to 5 days to set up a number so i could auth the transaction into Thomas Cooks account.

This has really put me off this company and a complaint letter is shipping their way.

Charges For Paying Holiday Account

I had a big shock when I called Thomas Cook holiday shop to pay a part payment toward my holiday, I was looking forward to redeeming my travel pounds against my holiday only to find that they charge you 2.5% credit card charge when using their own card, I had £28 travel pounds and was charged £20 for using the card what a rip off. I will definitely be using another method of payment in future or will book through another agent.

I have given an average score for customer service but as of yet have had no need to call them.

I wont be recommending the card to anyone else

Thomas Cook Credit Card Is Totally Rubbish, Not Wo

Thomas Cook Credit Card is Totally rubbish, not worth the effort to apply. We applied back in Jan 2011 for 2 cards. It took more than 3 weeks for husbands card to arrive and mine didn't. Since then they have sent out my second card as the first failed to work. The 2nd card also failed to work. Complaints dept ring me twice a week to check the card works and give a new excuse when I report it doens't. Excuses range from Oh it's a primary card we'll change it a secondary - it will work now 100%guarantee. No it doens't. Then its a chip and signature card we'll change it - it will work now guaranteed. No it doens't. They changed it to a chip and pin - only when I went to use it I had to sign for the goods. (Hurray at least I used it). When I told them they said it shouldn't have worked. I now have another new card (3rd) but still no pin number although they sent it Recorded Delivery last Wed!

Don't bother with them - it's too much hassell. But the complaints dept are very polite although they still havne't solved the problem that's been ongoing since Feb and we're now in the middle of May!!!

Rubbish On-line Account Service. If You Don't Regu

Rubbish on-line account service. If you don't regularly keep checking your account on line they block the serving pin so you can't access your account. You can only get your account unblocked by ringing an expensive telephone number only to find that you still cannot access your account!!Thomas Cook needs to wake up & sort this out. No problem with on-line accounting with any other credit card.

Considering That Thomas Cook Are A Travel Company,

Considering that Thomas Cook are a travel company, I was amazed that they charge twice to withdraw money whilst abroad; one fee to withdraw money and a 2nd fee as the money was withdrawn in a foreign currency (Euros). For a cash withdrawal worth £40 I paid £6.20 in fees. That's 15.5%.

Have Always Been Loyal To Thomas Cook Had The Card

Have always been loyal to Thomas Cook had the card solely for booking Thomas Cook Holidays so was the best choice at the time. Since the outset they have constantly changed the Terms and Conditions until I have got to the point that I would not use this card ever again. Six months ago I got a Credit Card from my Bank and lo and behold Thomas Cook without notification reduced my limit from £4500.00 down to £990.00 even though the outstanding amount owed on the card was just over £600.00 and I always paid an amount well above the minimum payment. My Daughter has used my card recently as she has just opened a new Business. Again a lump sum above the minimum payment has been made they have decided to raise my purchase Interest rate from 17.9% to 20.9%. Needless to say they can stick the card where the sun doesnt shine. They are lousy as Travel Company and the Credit Card is even worse. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES.
