Non Existent Refund
Three times Customer Service promised me a refund voucher by email. Never received. If you leave Asda, clear your balance first as I doubt you will get the money back, despite promises. Very disappointing.

Left Without Working Phone Number
Think about your worst customer service experience, then double it! Asda mobile contradict themselves, follow a poor script, fail to provide a fix or update… shocking!!!
I write this as we fall into day 9 without a working phone number. Port across in 24 hours they say…. 9 days later and no explanation, no idea of when it will be fixed. Nothing. Just a “we’ll call when it’s fixed” laughable if it wasn’t so painful!! Avoid this provider at all costs! Oh and this is all whilst still taking me money for a service not provided.

Not A Happy Bunny
ASDA Mobile/Vodafone cancelled my SIM card three months ago in error. They admitted their mistake and said they would send me a new SIM card and transfer my credit balance to the new number.
Despite chasing them over the past two months, where on each occasion they continued to assure me (albeit reluctantly) that they would transfer the credit, they have failed to do so and are now even claiming that I cannot prove the number that I had for many years was actually mine.
A year ago I would have given ASDA Mobile 5 stars as when they were partnered with EE I found their service to be excellent.

Basic Network But Reliable
Used to by with Asda Mobile years ago when they used the Vodafone network, then moved to GiffGaff (O2) who I thought offered better value bundles. Latterly GiffGaff had too many service outages in the town where I work, and I had a very poor experience buying a new mobile from their parent company O2, so I decided to try Asda Mobile (now using EE) again. I'm glad I did because although their bundles for the type of usage I require aren't quite as good value as GiffGaff, Asda Mobile's reception is better, is more reliable, and their Customer Service Team are friendly, efficient and professional... AND they're from Yorkshire which makes them alright in my book. Asda's downsides are that their website and offerings are a little more 'clunky' and basic than other providers, but they more than make up for it in other ways. Recommended.
Sim Card Disintegrated.
Bough an Asda mobile SIM card today and ten pounds bundle. When I got home and was in the process of removing the SIM card it came apart into three pieces. I've never experienced this before. Perhaps the batch is faulty. I'm going to try and get my money back.

Avoid Until They Leave Ee
I tried ASDA again after Sainsburys Mobile and then the Post Office Mobile decided to close down. I used them a few years ago and they were good then. Not today. I believe the reason is their decision to use EE. Signal strength is poor and infuriatingly so when compared to an EE sim right besdide me. Their customer service people, who are very pleasant, are hampered by idiotic EE terms.
I used to be with EE having been forced there when I was with Orange, who were OK, merged with T-Mobile, who were good. I left because of poor, patronising EE customer service.
Examples. Your 30 day Bundle runs out. You cannot renew until your 30 day period is up.
You have a few MB left on your bundle but you cannot access the internet.
They have a £7 bundle but you cannot buy a £7 voucher.
My biggest gripe, however, is signal coverage and internet speed.

Sms Service Useless
I ordered a free Asda SIM, and found that although it works when making and receiving calls as well as sending texts to mobiles, for some reason it does not send SMS texts to landlines. I tried to send a text over and over again to a landline number, the credit was deducted, the text sent, but it never reached the landline. I tried with a SIM from another mobile phone company, and there was no problem at all, so there must be something wrong with the Asda network. When I rang Asda to query this, they did not seem to care, making the excuse that some texts are not guaranteed to reach their destination. Well, that is ridiculous, because Asda sent me a replacement SIM, and exactly the same thing happened. This is a warning to anyone out there who is thinking of joining Asda mobile - do not do it if you need to text landlines, because the strategy will not work and you will go through unnecessary frustration. Did Asda really think that nobody would notice this flaw with their network? It sounds like a cheapskate service which cuts corners to save money. It is not dissimilar to Asda's brand of Smart Price food products, which are such poor quality I cannot eat them. Sorry, Asda, but I am through with Asda mobile. You must live in a world of your own where nobody owns a landline anymore!
Q&A
My asda mobile pay as you go not working abroad still I have a bundle? What should I do?
How can I check my text usage?
How do I activate the voicemail?
I have been trying for nearly six weeks to get two new top up cards for our phones. They have been ordered three times. I still haven't received them. We are all set up with EE and our numbers sorted. We can't use our phones because we have no top up cards to put money on phones. What should I do?
Sorry - please ignore my last answer about registering with EE; I forgot the question was about Asda Mobile with EE (I now have an EE account following my disagreements with Asda mobile).
To top up an Asda mobile by phone, call 2732 from the phone to register a credit or debit card to use for top-ups.
Why is asda mobile customer services so useless? Why do they lie to you day after day? Why do they not answer your e-mails? How can they be allowed to charge premium rate for the helpline, then keep you on hold for 20-40 minutes?
I went into the local ASDA supermarket, complained & was then allowed to use their landline to call the helpdesk. Let them pay for that service.
