Acoustic Solutions DVD 263

we have only used our dvd-263 once on a long holiday journey after not using it for ova a year we decided to dig it out & reuse for our holiday this year only to discover it doesn't work everytime a disc iS put in it says loading theN goes to disc error (it was a brand new disc brought yesterday) somehow I think its more of a product error than disc error.

So my review s this:

we bought this dvd player over a year ago used it for the first time today 24/07/2010 for my granddaughter in the car ,i set it all up ready to go on our long journey and it wouldn't load the disc i kept getting disc error on the screens,now i am stuck with a brand new dvd player that is no good to use has anyone had a soloution for this problem or should i just bin it.

We have a Acoustic Solutions DVD 263 portable DVD player (7" dual screen), purchased in 2007. We have used it twice and it now fails to load any dvd. It keeps having a 'no disc' error.

Acoustic Solutions DVD 263 is amazing value for money, i was so pleased with it. the picture quality is brilliant on the 7 inch screen and the sound is pretty loud too, wouldn't want it any louder. many options on remote and no negative points as yet.

Acoustic Solutions is amazing value for money. Unlike other reviewer, I have had no problems with my unit. Would have liked the AV able to have been included though.

The Acoustic Solutions DVD 263 is a twin screen in car DVD player with 7in LCD screens that attach to the rear of the front seat headrests. It has an impressive specification and comes with a complete set of accessories including a bag and two pairs of earphones. The picture quality is surprisingly good. At a price of £79.95 in the Argos sale it appeared a fantastic bargain. It currently (July 2008) retails in the UK at about £130. This DVD player is let down by appalling build quality. On the first one I tried the second DVD screen did not work requiring the unit to be returned. The second unit worked and was a hit with my children on first use. However the main screen gaped at one corner due to poor moulding inside the case and had to be held together by cellotape. It was very annoying to get working since switching the car ignition on and off appeared to completely confuse the unit, requiring a reset. After just this one journey the second screen failed completely requiring a return to Argos, and after some argument a full refund. Overall, let down by appalling build quality. Avoid.
