The Instructions are awful. You need a degree in mechanical engineering to put this thing together.

Put The Lid Down.
First time, lid up, sausages and belly pork, one hour, not happy, confused. Second time. Cooked chicken thighs lid down twenty minutes. Excellent third time sausages and burgers, lid down twenty minutes. All good. Now, how to get some good old BBQ taste going on. Any ideas?

Good Value For The Money
I've read quite a number of terrible reviews on what is a very cheap barbie. Most BBQ's have a maximum four year life span, so why spend huge amounts on a barbie? I bought the Laguna Blooma from B & Q for £49.00 near the end of the summer. I've had it 2 years and the only common complaint is that the side burner only gives a yellow flame and therefore deposits soot on the bottom of your pot. It's poor. I've had no issue with the heat within the BBQ, and I regularly cook chicken breast, lamb and fish, and it only taking a few minutes for each side. In terms of sparking or flames, you will find any BBQ will do this when fat from a product drops down on the heat plate. So, if you want to pay £300 for a barbie, good luck, However,I would recommend you get a cover for your Laguna Blooma (£5.00 at B & M) which will preserve it from the elements. Store it away during the winter.

Worst Bbq Ever !!!!!!!!! Total Waste Of Money
I have had many BBQs over the years and this is by far the worst I have ever had. The shop assistant assured me that it would be just like any other BBQ but with no need for charcoal and I would be very happy with it. Putting the BBQ together was no problem although I had to change the gas regulator so it would fit on the gas cylinder we get here. I followed the instructions to the letter and it took an eternity to cook anything even with the burners both on full power all the time. There does not seem to be enough heat to cook things properly and I would be reluctant to cook chicken from raw as I would be afraid that it would not cook the whole way through unless you have a couple of hours to wait.
I am very disappointed with this BBQ and would advise anyone against buying it, also very disappointed in B&Q for even thinking about selling this.

Looks Lovely. But Disappointed
We bought the Blooma Laguna barbeque in autumn 2013. We are not great barbequers and gave our old one to our daughter, we loved the look of this BBQ and was a bit smaller for us and loved the side burner.
The first time we used it was for a breakfast with family staying, it didn't get very hot, no sizzling so finished cooking in the oven indoors. We used it a couple of times in 2014 ( our working pattern precludes us from regular use). And still food sat there, no sizzling and took ages to cook anything..
We went to out local B&Q and chatted to a member of staff about it and he gave us some tips on whether we had constructed it correctly on checking, we had.
Went to friends last weekend they had the same barbeque which was working fine. So used ours again tonight nothing sizzled I fact if I turned the food over it was cold to touch after 5 minutes cooking in the centre over the convector, but it is the same wherever you place the food. So disappointed

Rust Bucket
We purchased this BBQ from B&Q in the summer of 2013. We used it weekly during the nice weather & it is covered during the winter. We are now about to dump it, the burner still works but the frame & base has rotted through. I know nothing lasts forever but 18 months?
We have had several BBQ's over the years & untill the Laguna they have lasted at least 4 years!

What Gas Will This B B Q Require.
having put the Laguna BBQ together, which is not a 1 hour job.
I tried to fit the regulator to my large tank of gas, surprise surprise
it would not fit. So I fitted my old regulator to the Laguna BBQ,
It came alive using the ignition system right away, there was one problem,
the side burner had a sooty yellow flame.I tried to ring the help line.
It was like trying to speak to GOD, no joy. So after speaking to friends and staff at B and Q ,i decided to change the regulator back and trade in a full Blue tank in exchange for a large Green tank, cost £ 27, I had to forget about the gas in the blue tank. I fired up the B B Q , I still have a side burner with a yellow flame. HELP.
Q&A
Can you tell me where do I place the lava rocks on my Laguna BBQ? I am puzzled.
I have a Laguna BBQ 2 burner, I have already replaced the flame defuser twice now I need another one, I am being asked close to £36 some time plus P&P. Why can I not buy one in the UK?
Does this BBQ need charcoal ?
