No.13 Is The Best Restaurant In Swansea. It Really

No.13 is the best restaurant in Swansea. It really is that simple. This independent British restaurant is a hidden gem amongst the plethora of Indian take-aways and fast food joints in Swansea town centre. Cooking fresh, prepared to order meals with real innovation and depth of flavour it is no wonder that the restaurant has been commended by the Good Food Guide! I am an unashamed fan of the wonderful food, friendly service and relaxed atmosphere here, utilising the venue for romantic evenings with my partner and long, leisurely lunches with the girls, taking full advantage of the incredibly reasonable set lunch menu. There is an ever changing blackboard of seasonal specials as well as firm favourites including Fillet of Local Sea Bass in Cajun Butter Sauce with lime and vermouth. There is a fine selection of excellent wines and decadent desserts - try the Butterscotch Cr me Brule, a speciality of No.13. Take advantage of this eatery - you won't regret it!

Well, We Dined At This Restaurant For A Friends Bi

Well, we dined at this restaurant for a friends birthday. After sharing a starter, main course was served. I had what appeared to be aunt bessies frozen potatoes served underneath a european chicken dish, not good. My friends were relativly satisfied with their meals i think?. After the birthday cake was brought to the table, we asked if they would not mind giving us some side plates so we could slice the cake, our reply was "yes they did mind"!!!, (some of the party had orderd dessert). This spoilt the birthday party somewhat! Would i dine there again..to be honest no, i didnt find it value for money or particularly friendly, would i recommend, no ...NO 13 UNLUCKY FOR SOME!!!

I found this review helpful because... it was more honest than previous ones which appear to be written by the restaurant themselves. However you should have checked about the cake in advance. It's not normal to take your own food FOR CONSUMPTION to a restaurant! Lighting a candle in a cake fine but what next? Your own homemade favourite starter??

The "host" Was Extremely Welcoming, Knowledgeable

The "host" was extremely welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. Food top class and prices surprisingly reasonable. Good choice on menu

A lovely meal, lovely service, noise and cramped environment the only drawbacks.

Friendly and welcoming atmosphere at No.13, Swansea, with excellent choice of food and belly filling portions. Desserts so alluring and flavoursome will have to return to try them all especially the eton mess.

I thought it was excellent value for money, the food is wholesome and honest, and not to mention the brilliant service. With a atmosphere that is relaxed and welcoming I look forward to my next visit.
