Faultless Machine
so i got this washing machine as a hand me down from my nanna, this was in 2009 (it's now 2017) when i moved into my 1st home. im not sure how long she had owned it for before passing it to me, i was told my uncle had just replaced the motors brushes before though. there were 4 people living at my nannas house at the time, i live alone but still use the machine a minimum of twice a week. i have never had a single fault with the machine in all this time. i do use (regularly) additives to try and help remove limescale and clean out the bacteira etc such as calgon and some other dettol thing, along with the odd bleach wash, maybe this has helped, i cant say but ill stick to this method all my life. the only down side it the detergent drawer tends to build up black mould, i have even gone to the satge of completely stripping the draw assy out and taking it to pieces, cleaning it with bleach until its like new, but 6 months later mould re appears, this is a puzzling one, ill have to look into i guess.. however based on the reliability ill be looking at a bosch for my 1st choice when this old dog finally gives up the ghost, top rated all around
Made Not To Last!
It was only when I tried to fix my Bosch washing machine myself that I was told there wasn't any filter on it and I would either have to call out an engineer or buy another machine. I declined both offers and will never buy another Bosch appliance again. They are only interested in getting your money, customer service is non existent.

Marie Fellows I Thought You Might Be Interested
Marie Fellows
I thought you might be interested in this, some 27 years aga, give or take a couple, I purchased a Bosch washing machine Class ixx 1000 express. We were a family of four. This machine has withstood the demands of my family and visiting grandchildren and a journey to our place of retirement, Corfu in Greece. I have had no problemsand the only service I have had has been to connect /install. I can think of no better recommendation for your products.. Thank you very much.

10 Years Not A Single Problem
Nothing more to be said. Owned one 10 years never had a single problem with it. Quiet, cleans clothes perfectly (though you sometimes need to remember to use rinse plus to avoid streaks on big dark sheets.
Only negative comment I can think of is that its do old that the white plastic parts of the fascia have yellowed slightly as the machine sits in direct sunlight.

First Fault In 10 Years = A Blown Fuse
I am looking around the internet to find instructions to replace a blown fuse and to see if Bosch are still making this model when came across this site. Just wanted to quickly say it's the best washing machine I have ever used and has been faultless (up till now, 10 years after purchase). I hope the problem I have is easily solvable but if my machine needs replacing and Bosch has maintained their build quality after being bought by Siemens a few years ago (am going to check reviews of machines purchased over the last year or two) then I will definately buy another Bosch washing machine. And for what it's worth my Bosch dishwasher and tumble dryer also both bought 10 years ago have similarly been fault-less since purchase. (Hope this fuse fault isn't the beginning of an avalanche of Bosch kitchen appliance problems now I've sung their praises) ;-)

We've Had This Machine For Four Years And It Has N
We've had this machine for four years and it has never been less than perfect. Whites come out perfect white (using 90degree wash with Daz). We've even used it for re-proofing technical waterproofs, washing trainers, pillows, you name it. All in all it has been the best value washing machine that we have ever used.

I Have Had This Machine For At About 6 Years And I
I have had this machine for at about 6 years and it is used several times a week. I only ever use the reduced time cycle which takes about 30 minutes, and I was at low temperatures as much as I can. I normally use an environmentally friendly liquid detergent and I am always happy with the result. With hindsight, I would have used a regular water softener as there is considerable scaling after 6 yrs

There Is A Design Fault In This Bosch Classixx 100
There is a design fault in this Bosch Classixx 1000 Express machine which results in a strong rotting smell. After a couple of years it still appears to work, but does not clean clothes.
maybe your using it wrong because there is no such fault.
Flush the crud out of the system by running it on 90 degree wash. Just powder, nothing else. This needs doing a couple of times a year - bit like an oil change.

Had The Bosch Classixx 1000 Express For 4-5 Years
Had the Bosch Classixx 1000 Express for 4-5 years now. It has never leaked, stopped working, needed any repairs etc. Pretty reliable. It's also pretty durable as well, seeing as it gets used over 10 times a week, from 30 degree to 90 degree washes regularly. I do make sure it's clean by loading in soda crystals in the 90 degree washes with the towels (once a month). It does get a bit noisey when it's spinning at the end of the cycle. Very noisey lol. Also, I wasn't sure until I read a review, but there are some sweat stains under the arm pits in my light coloured clothes. Maybe that means it doesn't wash as thoroughly as it should be doing, I'm not sure. I wash those light coloured clothes at 40 degrees on an easy care setting (~50min). The cotton setting runs for about 90 minutes. Maybe that'll clean clothes better. Not too sure. I wash the loading drawer every now and again because it gets grimy quite quickly.

I Would Not Recommend The Bosch Classixx 1000 Expr
I would not recommend the Bosch Classixx 1000 Express. Although the price was good and they offer a 2 year guarantee and machine still running after over 2 years and no repairs. It doesn't adequately clean the clothes. Sweat stains, and odours can be left. It does not adequately remove the powder. White powder stains have been left on the clothes. This has become untolerable as my daughter has developed a skin allergy.
We have one 32 years owes us nothing very minor problems won't get any of today's rubbish to last that
This is nothing to do with the machine, you are obviously using an inferior powder - probably cheap rubbish in fact. We use a high grade liquid detergent in ours and do not experience any of these problems.
Q&A
How to examine the filter
How much money does each wash cost roughly?
My Bosch has stopped taking the fabric conditioner any body any ideas why this is happening ?I've cleaned the compartment, put it on a 90 degree wash , checked all hoses and pipes but still the conditioner is left in the draw
Just moved into a rented property and this is the type of machine thats there just wondered how long a 60 degree wash would take? There is no information about cycles there.
