Heap Of Junk
I've had this lawn mower for less than 4 years. It has been back to the shop for repairs twice already and has now jammed up again. The immediate problem has to do with the drive belt, which couples the motor to the wheels so as to propel the machine. Somehow this get's gummed up (I have just a modest garden with grass - nothing ambitious). The more general problem is the cheap construction, with cables and levers in vulnerable positions.
My previous mower was British and lasted 20 years - in fact it was still working when I got rid of it for this heap of junk.

Junk - Don't Buy
The design is terrible and the engine is totally underpowered.
When mulching, grass tends to collect under the cutting deck causing the cutter blades to constantly clog up and stall the engine. Mowing even a small lawn can be totally frustrating.
Somehow the engineers managed to throttle the 190cc motor down to only 6.5 lb/ft torque.
When bagging, only comparably little grass is collected in the bag (which is not too big to begin with), as the back of the bag is mounted too high which allows the grass clippings to slide back into the mowing deck.
On the upside: Overall, the front wheel drive works nicely and the mower is not too heavy making it easy to maneuver. The lawn mower starts easily every time.
This mower only makes sense on mostly flat lawns that are dry and which are mowed every week . Wet and/or longer grass will stall the motor.
My advise: Spend a little more money and get a better mover.
This was definitely my last Toro whatsoever.
I agree with this review - it is a terrible mower and a waste of £465. The grass bundles up underneath and doesn't suck into the bag then it all comes out when you turn the mower to do the next strip. It is really heavy and no use for women. My £40 mower from Lidl does a much better job. I bought this on a recommendation from a professional - my advice to you is don't buy it.

Dont Buy
purchased from Cheaplawnmowers.co.uk, should have realised from the name!
THis Toro 20637 was fine for two weeks but when using it for the second cut the rear drive wheel came of with washers all over the lawn. Not at all happy. I expected for it to last for at lease two years, not two weeks.
Now trying to get sorted out with Cheaplawnmowers

Toro Self Propelled
Worst lawn mower i have ever owned. Won't go up a slight incline, won't cut damp grass, catcher clogs, heavy, won't self propel on green grass, rubber guard fell off, wheel adjuster jumped off and is bent, these are extremely thin, spark plug fitting falls off, blade came loose, doesn't cut low enough, pulling backward is difficult in all a heavy horrible load of junk
Perfect description of this mower, a useless thing and I hate it.

I Purchased The Toro 20065 Model In July Of 2008.
I purchased the Toro 20065 model in July of 2008. In December 2009 it quit running. It was flooding itself out and loosing power before it quit running. Also, if there was any gas remaining in the tank after mowing, it would disapear between mowings and when you pulled to start at the next mowing a big ball of black smoke came from the mower. It was obviously a problem with the carburator, but the dealer said it was the gas I was using and tuned it up. In May of 2010 I had the same issue and the dealer replace a few parts and tuned it up again. I told them it was the carburator or choking system, but they didn't agree. Now April of 2011 I have the same problem and the mower is no longer under warranty. This Toro is a piece of junk and the support under warranty was useless. This is the last Toro product I will ever buy.

I Never Review Online But Feel Compelled.
I never review online but feel compelled.
This machine is rubbish and a waste of money. For the first year it was in and out under warranty getting the self drive fixed as it was always slipping. Now it is still slipping but they won't fix it any more. Great.
Also it doesn;t collect grass. Clogs up and stalls when mulching and the side shute of useless. Lowest cut is way too high and the height adjustment is s much hastle.
This is not just another bad review. take it seriously do not buy this machine. It is not a one of it is a design fault.
Yes, true .. it doesn't collect the grass - it just balls out everywhere. The bag is rubbish too.

I Have Put My Toro 20065 Petrol Self-propelled Law
i have put my Toro 20065 Petrol Self-Propelled Lawn Mower up for sale,it was a waste of money, there seems to be a lot of power wasted on the front wheel drive.also i find it does not want to fill up the collection bag,it just clogs up the shute in to the bag.a very frustrating mower.i have just ordered another honda and am sure my money will be better spent here.
Yes, grass clogs in the shute and nothing goes into the bag, then you can't get the bag off without using your knee to support it.

I've Had My Toro Model 20065 For Only 14 Months, A
I've had my Toro Model 20065 for only 14 months, and have just had the transmission replaced for the SECOND TIME. I think I have a real lemon. When I had the transmission replaced the first time, the repairman said they were seeing a lot of problems with that particular transmission.
There will not be any more Toros at my house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I certainly wish I had known about this particular fault before my purchase.

I Am Now On My Second Toro, As The First One Was R
I am now on my second Toro, as the first one was replaced by them, as the ratched that holds and adjusts the handle height does not stay in place, it slips and wears out the grip. The second one after using it three times this season has the same problem and is rendered useless.
I have a Toro 20637 and its handles slip. I have ordered some new ratchet adaptors -itself difficult as there aren't that many Toro dealers and the link on the Toro website was broken which should have listed the dealers. The dealer I eventually ordered from had none left in stock and when he contacted Toro was told they had none but should have some for next week. It suggests to me that there is a big demand for these rachet adaptors.
