Very Noisy And Poor Bluetooth
Bought 2 Vipers, one for me and the second for my wife. Second week had to return mine for a replacement as the right speaker didn't work, several months later returned both helmets to have the Bluetooth replaced..one circuit board fried the other the charging stork in the centre broke. Week later and my Bluetooth refused to charge. Have now sold my wife's and returning mine for full refund. Bought Schberths which i should have bought in the first place.
Vipers were noisy and Bluetooth although easy to pair was too quiet when riding and we would have to shout...
Better off paying little bit extra and researching other helmets and not to see the cheap price decide you. I have found cheap item turns out to be expensive in the long run!!!

This Helmet Is For Those Looking For All-in-one-bu
This helmet is for those looking for all-in-one-but-cheap helmet. For features contained in it(Bluetooth, built-in shades, flip-on), it is a fantastic value for money. However, do expect some nasty surprises in terms of quality and manufacture glitches.
Few things to think about if you are considering to buy one:
1. Speaker quality is below average (even cheap earplug headphones sounded better). Not good for listenenig to music, ok for phone calls.
2. Pairing takes a bit or skill and a lot of luck. Fairly a tech-savvy guy, it took me about an hour of fiddling. May not pair at all with some phones (my Nokia N95 never got lucky!).
3. Build is a bit cheap, screws could come off at places you just could not fix at all and would have to send back to the manufacturer. Mine came off even before using it while trying the flip-on chin protection. Bluetooth volume control knob was also a joke and made no effect to the already hissing (deafeningly lound) sound quality!
4. The stud fasteners are also not that strong and each time I try the helmet, they come off where the inliners are attached to the helmet.
If all the above problems could be fixed, permanently and not just by a manufacturer return, this helmet is a superb value for money. I still wouldn't use it to listen to music because the speakers are just bad, like listening to an old radio with no distinction between bass and treble!

A Great All Round Real Value For Money Bluetooth H
A great all round real value for money bluetooth helmet. Paired first time with my ipod touch for stereo music streaming and my blackberry for calls and switched between both when calls come in. Even pretty good sound at 70mph.. I love the drop down inner sun visor, it works really well... Had it 4 months and nothing to complain about so far....

Got Two Of These A Few Months Ago. I Prefer This V
Got two of these a few months ago. I prefer this Viper RSV121 helmet to others I have tried for fit and comfort. Is a little noisier than some helmets but the bluetooth is really useful. Generally for bike to bike we use the mobile phone (O2 free calls), and is really useful while riding through town where you may get split up, or for asking when to take a break.
I also use it with my GPS for navigation instructions which works really well, it switches to calls then back to GPS when call finishes.
Battery life is good, and will last us a full days ride out. The bike to bike bluetooth works but the range of bluetooth is the limiting factor.

I Live On Isle Of Man So We Pay Big Time For Every
I live on Isle of Man so we pay big time for everything, £150 x 2 in this case(uk price £99). We got baddly let down by Autocom Who were told our needs and deadline and then sent only 1 kit... Worse as they then told us you cant hide the bits needing water proofing on a Cruiser. No mention of this in any of there bumf! Viper RSV121 is only option at 2 days notice so we go on a 1000mile european tour for 5 wks. Tried out today on Bike to Bike up to 80mph and they work fine as long as you stay close.Over 30ft plus and it cracks up but you can still understand. Built up area's tend to cause interference also.Bought 2 spare batteries (£50) but they can only be charged in the lid and I'll be impressed if they last 4hrs as claimed. Will report back in September or sooner if a Disaster.

The Viper Rsv121 Is A Good Helmet Although The Blu
The Viper RSV121 is a good helmet although the Bluetooth gimmick isn't all its cracked up to be. Wind noise is quite bad on this one so you'll be cranking up the volume on both your device and the helmet if you go anywhere above 40mph. Good cooling options. Visor is a pain to get off with you having to pry side panels off the helmet. Clearance for the visor lift is minimal so if you have a fogging shield attached the top will get scratched.Note the Bluetooth 1 model allows voice activated calls (if your phone supports it), whereas the Bluetooth 2 model doesn't but has stereo and can be used as an intercom. I reserve judgement as to whether it would be any good as such as the pairing procedure is tedious. Its not something easily done with a casual acquaintance. Also the holes for your ears (where the speakers are) are a bit low for me meaning my ears are pinched by the top of the holes making longer rides a little painful.I had no problems with the flip front mechanism as a previous reviewer did. It takes a little practice (pulling the front down while pressing the button in does it). I was fine after a couple of uses.

My Viper Rsv121 Had An Intermittent Fault With The
My Viper RSV121 had an intermittent fault with the right speaker, cleared up then went entirely. Contacted dealer who sold the helmet who told me to contact distributor. Turns out helmet has only 6 month warranty. Had to pay to get it to distributor. Compare this to SHARK who give 5 YEARS
I bought one to replace my old Viper with mono Bluetooth which worked a treat but got bounced on a stone floor.
One speaker didn't work from new & I was advised to "wiggle the wires". The Bluetooth unit was eventually replaced by the manufacturer, but then the whole thing stopped turning on at all. The manufacturer replaced the switch/control which was faulty, but now the volume doesn't work in either direction & the Bluetooth breaks up a lot making music pretty much unlistenable. I've seen another review which mentions the poor optical quality of the drop down sun visor - it's really not good. In short, this lid is a good idea, poorly executed. It's cheap for a reason. The retailer made a lot of helpful noises but in effect just told me to contact the manufacturer - I won't be going back.
Q&A
Can anybody tell me where I could get a replacement battery for the viper 151 helmet?
Thanks
