Slow Delivery
Hi, I bought from paccollars.co.uk with so called "free express delivery" on 20th August and by return received and email confirming the order had been received. After no further information by 24th I replied tot he original email asking to cancel the order. Still no reponse.
On 7th September I received an email to say my order is compete.
What is the point of express delivery if they take nearly three weeks to despatch.

Refused To Acknowledge Consumer Rights
I ordered one of the collars for our dog, but befire it arrived we realised it’s not how we needed to train our rescue who is v sensitive. We didn’t open the product at all and promortly repackaged it to get it sent back with in their strict 1 week refund policy. Sent it recorded and signed for. The first delivery attempt- no one in. Rebooked it for the following week. THEY REFUSED the parcel. That’s the reason Royal Mail gave me. They refused it- so no delivery to them no refund.
Also during that week I tried to make contact with people from the company to ask the refund process and explain we were returning it unopened. Barely got two sentences back and no help.
They do not allow you to exercise your consumer rights. I will be copying and pasting this review everywhere

Brilliant Service As Always
I've had Pac dog collars for my dogs for a few years, there have been justa couple of issues. One they repaired at no cost, The second one is that we've broken the antenna off the handset but a quick phone call, technical advice was given (I could replace the antenna if I could get the old broken part out) which was successful and then a call back to order a new antenna. All for less than £25 brilliant. Always helpful and switched on.These really work well on dogs who are easily distracted fro recall, my pack of four comply well even at distance with just a buzz to remind them ocasionaly.
Poor Service
For several years I am working with the education and training of hunting dogs. Therefore I like to use an e-collar. True the years I have had in my possession several systems including until recently a PAC AXT which I have replaced on PAC’s recommend because there were no more parts available for this type.
I bought in april a compete EXT2 set with 2 EXC4 collars. Unfortunately went in september a collar out of order and I have sent this mid-september back for service.
After several mails with a question to the State of my collar I received on October 15, a meaningless answer with apologies. Meanwhile again a month later I still have not received back my collar and I still have no news about it.
I find the PAC service a joke and in my opinion very disrespectful for customers.
A very dissatisfied PAC user.

Short Working Life.
I have 40 years dog training experience both as a gundog and Service dog handler, I think I have a broad experience of the subject. Whilst I have great faith in the reward based training, I subscribe to the need to correct rather than ignore inappropriate behaviour. As such there is a clear and very appropriate place for the use of a remote collar. Over the last 10 years I have owned and used two PAC collars which at first were quite good. They do have limited range and are very bulky in comparison to others I have used. My principal dislike with them is their reliability over a period of more than two years. The recharge time is very slow for the collar. The battery life is poor compared to other makes such as Garmin, and Dogtra.
The repair service is expensive and in my opinion not worth the money. There are much better systems out there and sad to say PAC is a very poor alternative.
If you are seriously looking for a collar that will work when you need it , even if this is after a number months, don't rely on a PAC collar.
This should not be a piece of training equipment that you use frequently but must be reliable when you do need it or the moment is lost to correct the dog.

Collars Developed Faulty After 19 Months
Both collars developed a fault on the same day, so phoned the free phone number and was put through to Ireland to the technical department who were very helpful, and are exchanging the units for me. We have always found the staff very welcoming and helpful and nothing ever seems to be any problem for them to help you, wish every company was the same. Thank you.

Unreliable
I am very disappointed with my collar. First of all the battery failed quickly and had to be replaced. Now the vibrate works but that is all. Luckily the dog did not realise it has stopped working or I could have had real problems. I bought it from Ireland as I did not realise you can buy from a UK distributor. I suppose I am now going to have to return it to Ireland for an expensive repair. Not worth the money I paid.

Broken Unit Not Covered With Warranty
At the beginning I was very happy with this product (PAC invisible dog fence). After nine months I started having issues with the control unit. The zone lights were coming on and off and the fence itself working and then not. This would not have been a problem for my Springer spaniel as he stayed right away from the fence after the training, but my cattle dog new if the fence was activated or not due to the warning signal when she got close to the line.
The company I purchased this unit from (DOGMASTER TRAINERS) in Queensland, decided this was due to the air temperature in NSW being different to that of Queensland and therefore not covering the 2 year warranty on the product.
The unit has now completely stopped working after 12 months, so I am left to purchase another unit at my cost.
Not sure why they would sell this unit to someone in NSW if this was the case, but I guess there is nothing I can do about this.
Would not recommend DOGMASTER TRAINERS to anybody who doesn't want to be ripped off!!!
Superb Service
I had a problem with my collar which i have had for about 4years. Collar repaired and returned within days. Well done Kilkenny
