The Orangery, Aberystwyth

I think that The Orangery is a fabulous restaurant and the food is absolutely amazing, the service is top notch. I think the waitress is amazing in the handling of customers, she is always smiling and it gives us great pleasure to come to The Orangery when she is there, she knows all of the items on the menu off by heart. She is a truely remarkable women but i am sad to say that now she has left, will not be visiting the orangery again dinner times and evenings and mornings will not be the same without her !!!!!

The Orangery is unassuming from the outside and it's hard to know if it's a restaurant, bar or cafe - as it's all three, but what makes up for the minor confusion is the quality of the staff and the welcome. The staff are fabulously welcoming, happy to discuss all aspects of the food and drink.

My Welsh lamb shank was to die for and the whole experience delightful.

The well lit restaurant with its beige wood tables and chairs was complemented by candles and flowers.

I dined there two nights running, enjoying seared duck breast on the second occasion, and must admit that if I were going to dine anywhere in Mid West Wales I'd choose the Orangery.

I've already planned a visit with my wife later this year.
