Avoid Like The Plague
Brought a car from them with the promise of a full service and cambelt change. Gave me a load of BS about the cambelt ensuring me it had been changed, so accepted. A few weeks after having the car had to spend £300 with my own mechanic as a wishbone was absolutely shot, the wheel was wobbling to put it in perspective. A few months down the line it breaks down on the motorway, my mechanic informed me that a glow plug had been stuck in the engine and an all mighty bodge had be done to trick the car into thinking it had four running when in truth it was three. Fortunately for me no real damage was done to the engine. Remember this thing had a full service??? So they didn't know about the absolutely bodger glow plug? Proper Del Boys.
Would Never Buy A Car From Here Again
Days after passing my driving test I began to look at different cars and I came across Bellevue Garage on Facebook. I decided to go down to the show room and have a look at a Corsa 1.2 perfect for a new driver! Staff were so helpful and couldn't wait to sell me my new car. I collected the Car on the Friday afternoon and noticed 1 day later my battery light had come on. I took it back down to Bellevue and they were happy to help fix this, I collected the car the next day and noticed the light was still on and I had to leave the car for another 2 days whilst they looked at it. After 2 months of having the car I started to notice the car was pulling to the left slightly however I didn't really think much of this as a young girl with no clue about cars. I then noticed when I was braking my car sounded as if it was being dragged across the floor. At this point I decided to take it to another garage close by. I was told I needed new brake pads, new disks, a suspension arm and a new tyre which shocked me considering my car had only passed its MOT 3 months ago. After further inspection the mechanic then went on to tell me the hub underneath my car had cracked and was days away from my wheel falling off. I was told this could have only been caused by a high impact crash therefore I had been sold a car which was un roadworthy and very dangerous. I went straight back to Bellevue and was told this was all my fault nothing to do with them. I then decided to go through trading standards and the finance company and they were both very helpful and explained my legal rights. I was left with a car I couldn't drive and a £1500 bill. After a week of arguing with Bellevue they agreed to look over the day however I had to pay £85 to have it towed to them leaving me with no transport to get to work. I phoned every day for an update and was getting the same response "we are to busy and have no space on the ramps". The customer service I received was awful! Finally a week later they decided to look over the car and continued to blame me for the faults even though I explained since having the car I hadn't had any accidents and this could be confirmed by my black box. They agreed to fix my car with second hand parts and still charged me.
My sister also brought a car from Bellevue roughly 2 months after me as I highly recommend them. She is now left without a car and a £1000 bill.
I would never buy a car from this company again!
Do Not Buy
I bought my car in September 2016 with a full service history and 12 months MOT. Within 10 months I have had to replace the two front tyres, windscreen, two front wheel bearings. I am told I need to replace the brake pads, clutch & Gearbox and two rear discs JUST to get through this MOT. Makes me wonder whether their MOT was even legit as this much should not go wrong with a car in less than a year with my limited mileage. I paid 3995 for the car which is now worth 2000. I have spent 1400 on it JUST to keep it on the road. Money I simply do not have and now I feel hopeless.
Disappointed
They seem lovely while taking your money.
A few issues..
1- I was picked up by a lovely guy in an old Picanto which didn't seem roadworthy and had to use my own money for petrol to get us back to the garage as he did not give him any cash.
2- Less than 2 months after purchase, the brakes were completely worn down. Despite the MOT being clear. They did the MOT of course.
Considering I spent so much money, it's disappointing.
Don't Waste Your Time
Typical used car salesmen. Wouldnt waste your time.Very poor customer service
Car Full Off Problems
have not stopped paying out on problems with the car.
would not recommend this garage.
Value For Money
Very Polite But Do Tell Porkies
7 times I had to return the car, most times for minor faults, very inconvient as I work long hours, even though I now have further problems I cannot be bothered to take the car back for further repairs,i only wanted this car for a few months as it was my intention to buy a far more expensive car as a retirement pressie to myself,to their credit the staff including the service manager were very polite at all times, but I am convinced they were aware of previous problems this car had
