I Was A Bit Disappointed With The Session Pro Dd50
I was a bit disappointed with the Session Pro DD506.
Sounds are not realistic.
Cymbals quiet and unrealistic.
Hi-hat pedal way too quiet.
Doesn't have the fun feel of an acoustic drum kit.
Its ok for a practice drum kit but when you really want to play something that sounds good then it goes a bit downhill with the cymbals mainly. The toms lack the deep sound of the acoustic.
On the other hand you wont get better sounds from an ELECTRIC drum kit for this cheap.
It is quite good for practice.
Can fit into a small space.
Good for people who have just started drumming.
The general placement of the pads and cymbals are in the areas of the general drum kit that size.

On The Whole The Session Pro Dd506 Is A Good Pract
On the whole the Session Pro DD506 is a good practise kit, but if you take it out you need to give it constant maintenance. If you can afford it go for a Yamaha DTXpress or the equivalent Roland.
The DD506 brain has some great sounds, incorporating full editing features. You can alter the volume, pan, tone of each pad independently of the others, along with the sensitivity of the pad surface and the rim separately ( for those pads with dual zone triggers ). It even has a crosstalk feature, so if a pad triggers unexpectedly you can stop this, not to say it also has a midi port and USB enabling the incorporation of other sounds or the ablity to connect the kit to some music editing software. The drum pads are extremely sensitive you can, with the right setting perform drum rolls on the snare.
I do like the kit but the build quality is so what lacking. Firstly the cymbals feel flimsy and hollow, the screws do have a tendancy to drop out, when replacing it is crucial not to over tighten them as this will turn of the screw turret in the cymbal. They are noisy too when working loose. I did find bathroom sealer solved the problem temporarily. Secondly the drum pad clamps move easily when playing. You cannot over tighten these either or you may strip the treads in the nuts housed in the tightening knobs. Replacing thse nuts is the only way. Easily bought from B&Q but nevertheless an unnecessary hassle.
Hope this was helpful

Session Pro Dd506 Fits Easily In A Small Room, Loo
Session Pro DD506 fits easily in a small room, looks good, drum pads are good and the overall construction is very sturdy. Cymbals are not very good especially the hi hat which has to be hit very hard to get a sound so you mainly hear the thud of the sticks on the pad. Also the hi hat control pedal is far too quiet. Now wondering whether to buy a proper hi hat and ditch the electric one.
