Not Value For Money

it seems this restaurant has changed it's practice, the portions are very small me and my family went for an evening meal there were no 3 courses. we only ordered the main course because of the prices, there were no vegetables with the main dish we had to order them separately and then you're given only one dish that was only big enough for a small child let alone for three adults. very poor value for money I would say, and I will not be going there again neither will my family so if you want value for money don't bother with this place. Oh by the way I complained about the meal by email they didn't even have the grace to reply to me. how about that for running a business.

Having Viewed The Regular Menu I Felt A Little Int

Having viewed the regular menu I felt a little intimidated by what I'd seen - quite pricey, and most of the dishes struck me as a bit out of the ordinary. I worried that I might turn up and find nothing I really fancied.

Sunday lunch brought no such problems.

We chose from 4 starters plus soups and a main of roast beef/pork/lamb, plus a vegetarian option. We were invited to choose a combination of meats.

Before the appetisers were brought we were fed homemade breads (delicious). There wasn't enough butter on the table but the staff were happy to replenish the butter dish.

My three fellow diners chose lamb cowl (veggie cowl also available). I had mackeral, which was fine. While awaiting the main course all four of us expressed concerns that we would be unable to finish our main course due to being too full.

The sunday roast were served with parsnip, roast and boiled potato, vegetables (including mashed swede) plus the lightest yorkshire pudding I've ever had the pleasure of devouring. Finish it? Pah - we wanted to lick our plates.

Despite puddings being my favourite course we were too stuffed and had to pass.

A delicious meal.
