After Hearing Through The Grapevine That There Was

After hearing through the grapevine that there was a new Chef and all new staff working in the restaurant, we decided to give the restaurant another go.

We were very, very, very impressed to say the least! The food was excellent, very well presented, hot and tasted delicious. The Chef even came out of the kitchen after service and asked if we had enjoyed his food which we found was a nice touch.

The staff were very attentive, polite and down to earth. They checked our food was ok, if we needed any drinks, etc and always with a pleasant smile. The staff turn around is definately the best thing that has happened to this restaurant.

Overall, we had such a good evening here that we have been back regularly and would definately recommend dining here to everyone even to the people who have had bad experiences in the past as we did.

Have Tried The Seawings Restaurant Twice Once Duri

Have tried the Seawings Restaurant twice once during the day and a couple of weeks later in the evening with friends who live locally.During the day the service was slow, the staff gave the impression that service was just too much trouble, and customers an Inconvenience.Whilst not directly rude, definitely could be construed as such. The hot food was served on clod plates. The hot drinks were at best tepid rather than hot.All in all, crazy prices for a poor experience, will not be giving it another go any time soon.

I've eaten here and it was lovely, as far as I know it is run by real people and not a chain, which these days is a rarity. In our experiance we have always had a nice meal and have been treated well.

Seawings Restaurant Has Great Food And A Waterfron

Seawings Restaurant has great food and a waterfront location, free parking outside and has a lovely function room. We often go for lunch, dinner or just a coffee....the creme brulee and homemade burgers are to die for!

Can get busy so my advice to to book a table in the conservatory. The foot ferry from the Barbican is a must in the summer as the car park gets full up very quickly, no problems parking in the winter though.

Expect to pay approx £10 for a taxi into town. We like to get the foot ferry (Mount Batten Ferry) from the Barbican and back again. It's £1.50pp each way.

Alternatively all of Plymouths bus routes start and end in the same road so you could always catch the bus!

Seawings is defintely recommended, it's family run by all accounts and it shows! :)
