I Had A Vallient Combi Fitted In 2013 The Only Pro
I had a vallient combi fitted in 2013 the only problem I have is when it is very windy the boiler blows out sometimes if really windy more than once and the radiators don't give out much heat and I can't seem to get anyone who can help or advise how to fix the problem
other than that I'm very happy with the boiler
Brilliant Boiler
My Mum had a Vallant boiler installed in 1993. It was serviced every year and only needed one or two parts replaced. It was still in complete working order when we sold the house in 2013!!! I would always recommend a Vallant boiler to anyone. Yes, they are a bit more expensive, but worth every penny, as we had hardly a moments concern in all those years. There was nothing to dislike whatsoever, except perhaps the price ;))

Unlucky For Me
I had my vaillant boiler installed 1 year ago, just had its first service and was informed that the expasion tank needs replacing!!
I am fuming!! These boilers are not cheap and i did all my research and had 7 quotes before deciding to buy this one!!
I did not expect to have a problem after 1 year
VERY DISAPPOINTING INDEED!!
They do have a 7 year warranty, was this covered and replaced under warranty?

Superb Boiler. I Know These Boilers Inside Out And
Superb boiler. I know these boilers inside out and am able to provide a professional review for this boiler compared to similar output boilers. The parts on the EcoTec range are bullet proof with the burner and HE being Stainless Steel. They seem to have refined the design over the past 8 yrs and they now have it just about right. No special servicing tools are required (as the new Worcester equivilent) and customers rave about the efficiency and the fact they just don't seem to go wrong (when fitted correctly!).
All in all, a top notch boiler!
Not according to the online reviews!

There Are Not Many Reviews For Vaillant Boilers, T
There are not many reviews for Vaillant boilers, this is because they are so good people just forget they have them.. I am a gas engineer of 30 plus years experience. I have a Vaillant 824 myself, I fitted this 7 years ago. I have fitted Vaillants for all my familly as they and when they need a boiler.. I only ever fit Vaillant boilers for my customers because I need my reputation.
The only drawback about having a Vaillant is they are slightly more expencive and I dont get back to see my customers so often.
I am sure it will breakdown one day as all boilers do, but for now I can only say they are the best boiler made today.
we have had a vaillant boiler for a few years and every year without fail it will break downat least twice and always in winter when it is needed most. Not only that it costs us around £500 every year to get it fixed, this machine is nothing but a waste of time and effort and i would only recommend a vaillant heater to someone i hated! It is of awful build quality and the parts are very expensive. very unreliable and to top it off not what you would expect from a german manufacturer maybe i need to start being a little more patriotic!

Good to know that Vaillant boilers are so good, the one my daughter inherited in her first house was B. awful, the seller had been asked if the boiler was in good order and they said it had recently been serviced, when my daughter got into the house the boiler wasn't working, the neighbours said the previous owners were always having to call out the service people, my daughter changed to a Worcester Bosch and it was excellent, I would not touch a Vaillant ever again.
Q&A
Is the Vaillant Combi EcoTEC 824 able to produce domestic hot water that is sufficiently hot for washing up, baths etc, even in very cold winter weather? I ask because last winter (Dec. 2015 – Feb. 2016 and beyond), our DHW was only warm from the tap, even though the setting was at its maximum (60º). (We have only three radiators installed, in case this matters.)
