Vokera Compact 29HE

I had a Vokera boiler that died within weeks of all the other Vokera boilers in the complex. The many years employed boiler fitter guy came from Vokera and cut every corner imaginable. the most obscene of which was installing a boiler way under the specifications that would have been required if he'd actually looked at the property. It has high ceilings. It has old windows (sorry don't have the money to replace). It wanted more power than a simple count of radiators would warrant. He put in the underpowered AND economic model, and set all to MAX. The cheap pressed steel heat exchanger leaked immediately. other things leaked too.

it has a big 5 year warranty sticker on it, but I'll have to get a sufficiently powerful boiler well before then.

Use an Independent Engineer and look carefully at their calculations of how powerful it ought to be.

Vokera come with a good reputation for reliability and customer service. If you live in South East of Scotland-customer service is non existent-we have spent numerous days waiting for: no show engineers/engineers who are rude/engineers who are incompetent (and have subsequently been sacked)/ Engineers to fix the problem (but 4 hours later it has recurred)/ customer services staff telling us that the problem isnt the boiler-its the wind or even better-its because the water is running uphill back into the boiler and causing the problem.

Vokera compact 29 has leaked it has depressurised it has leaked it has stopped working it has persistently stopped working. Parts keep breaking and requiring replaced

We had this boiler for just over 2 years. In this time we have had the engineer out 5 times from Vokera and our own plumber 4 times. It has been nothing but a problem since it was installed.

The after care service from Vokera was initially ok but after constant complaints to them about wanting it replaced they continued to keep repairing it. It is now over the 2 year warranty - just - and they now want nothing to do with it so we are in process of referring this to trading standards.

DO NOT BUY AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BOILER MAKE TO MY WORSE ENEMY

This is now going to be ripped out and replaced asap
