Easy To Pitch, Well Designed Family Tent

Bought the Vango Tigris 800 (2009 model) without realising just how big is it. Pitched it in the garden and thought the local airport would be wanting to use it as a hanger. But when we were camping it proved fantastic (and nothing like as big in the middle of a large campsite)

We have used this for two week-long camping trips abroad and a three day stay in the UK.

It's easy to pitch (although we don't think the enclosed instructions offer the best methods or advice!) and we have it ready to use in 24 minutes. Once pitched the four bedrooms and large living area provide ample space. In the UK we were treated to severe storms and the tent stood and didn't leak despite very strong winds and torrential rain all one night.

The only significant downside is the pack size and weight. It takes up most of the boot space in the car and is difficult for one person to lift

Ours is the 2009 model and the improvements that were added for the 2012 version would make this the perfect family tent.

Purchased As A Replacement For The Vista 800dlx, V

Purchased as a replacement for the Vista 800DLX, Vango Tigris 800 is a fantasic space and seems good in poor weather. Easy and fast to pitch. Also purchased the side extension, footprint and carpets, the extension is fantastic for cooking, and also as a wet room.
