I couldn't ask for better service nothing was too much trouble even when I was forever messaging to ask questions very helpful very polite our agent benedict was lovely would recommend this company to anyone looking for properties. Thanks again Abbott's.

In 16 weeks we had a total of 0 viewings. I would not recommend Abbott's estate agents in Mildenhall. The service was poor. Very bad communication and customer service. We experienced mistake after mistake with these agents with no apologies or ownership of errors.

Since the very beginning we had many issues with the estate agent (Spencer Bartley).

Initially we decided to go back to Abbotts for the sale of our house as we bought our house from them 3 years ago and had a good experience.

However the Manager we previously dealt with retired, and the communication between them and us had noticeably changed in a bad way. Spencer (the new branch manager) told us that he prices houses to be sold quickly and efficiently. Later on we realised that he massively over priced our house to get us to sign the contract. After having no interest, I had to contact Spencer as I felt that he was not communication or guiding us in regards to reducing the price.

After still not having any interest, we decided to get another estates opinion. Spencer said that we cannot go multi agency, however we later realised he did not fill out our contract properly meaning the contract was void, therefore he had to oblige. With the new estate agent we soon got some viewings and was updated regularly with sound advice/guidance.

The couple of viewings that did get scheduled with Abbott's got cancelled very last minute. AND our final experience with Spencer... After cleaning our house, myself and my partner left our house for a viewing that one of the Abbotts agents arranged. I received a phone call from Spencer asking why I wasn't at my house, I told him that he should have a key as requested by Spencer at the earlier stages of this horrible service. Spencer refused to believe that I left a key at the estate agent. On arriving home, we was met by Spencer with our door keys. He struggled to apologised still not taking any ownership of being at fault. Further more, even if they thought they didn't have a key he should have confirmed that I should be at my house to let them in, however there was no communication of this at all.

Contacted about a property up for rent at the beginning of the week with an enquiry, was told they would find out and call me back. Called every single day for a week and now it's gone! And still I have no answers!

Absolutely incompetent.

No one I spoke to knew anything, you'd think you would employ people who can actually do their jobs!!

I contacted Abbotts Lettings Basildon end of January to view a property the agent who answered the phone said he would call back with date and time and didn't I called again and spoke to another person who said I would receive a text with time and date

Nothing was sent I then called again to be told viewings would be arranged end of February. Today I called again to be told it was let agreed.

When I challenged them as to why no one had been in contact I was told they were busy and unable to always get back to clients

I would be surprised if they had clients if this is the service they provide. . Absolutely rubbish I would never recommend them to anyone

I have asked abbott estate agent in norwich several times by telephone and by email to view a property.

No respond from email completely ignored .

Yes spoken on phone ok will be in touch .

4days now I still can't view this property.

I ask myself perhaps this agent are very busy.

Let them have a break!

I will not sell my how with them now.

We paid £199 for a so called prestige service. In fact the set of photos are very poor, the video is poor and the description fails to mention a key feature. We complained, and eventually after two weeks were contacted and told we could see some more photos but these have not been forthcoming, two weeks on. We have written to the local agent to express our frustration. We have had no response.

Wish I,d read this review page before I went with them. Never return phone calls, never answer emails, took my constant badgering to get photographer doing. 4 weeks later still not been advertised...... certainly talk the talk and walk the walk. Only gave 1 star as I was unable not to give any... diabolical service for want of a better word they don't know what service is.....would never use again..

I am in danger of looks g the property I've seen and they haven't even begun to advertise mine.sellers beware

They came round and told me how much my house was worth which I thought was high but then they are the so called professionals, within the first few weeks the price was dropped by 10,000, I had to keep calling to get feed back which a lot of the time sounded like lies when I wanted to find out when my contract was finished I rang the branch 4 times and asked for the manager to call but never got a call back. I eventually called and told them I want to collect my keys and then the manager decides to call, I went to the branch to collect my key to find out they were lost I assumed they should be locked in a key safe when not used and signed for when taken out.

I Would never recommend Abbotts to anybody and wished I had read these reviews before calling them In the first place it will teach me to do my homework next time

The Norwich branch of Abbotts are a shower of poo and need to be closed down

Basildon branch staff were rude, unhelpful, the don't contact you back or chase anything, I was lied to about the fees, turns out they are fixed and much higher than other agents, they sent letters saying our buyers had pulled out by mistake!! I'm still having problems with them 2 months after I sold my house! Awful experience, definitely would not recommend them

I dealt with the Basildon Office, very short and snappy on the phone, failed on numerous occasions to call back as promised. Basically seemed like they didn't care about the sale. And to think they charge so much for this service, it is appalling.

All I can say is you need to look elsewhere for a decent estate agents
