Non-existent Customer Service

I placed on order with these people towards the end of April. To be fair to them they emailed me a few days later to advise me that the item was not in stock (website should have made that clear though). They use Amazon shipping for delivery services. Having received the link I started tracking the order just to see that it has been stuck in the same place for the last nine days. I have since then sent Winstanleys two emails asking for an update as Amazon won't do that. Neither of my emails were even acknowledged never mind answered. Today I decided to ring them and whilst I am typing this I have been in and out of their queue for twenty-five minutes listening to terrible music and ringing tones! This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced - even worse than HMRC and that is saying something. I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole!

Terrible Customer Care

Bought a cube bike from this company came 4 weeks late

Waited patiently no complaints

My wife rode it twice peddle fell of.

Guess what not covered under warranty

But to add insult to injury I was shocked to be told i must of put the peddle on wrong my fault like I've never put a peddle on a push bike in my life, very insulting. Then I was told to take it to a local bike shop to be fixed a bike that's 2 weeks old ya right!

If you want to buy a new bike do yourself a favour do not buy from these jokers

Bad Service’s And Cheap Bikes

cheap bikes, why do I say this because they are composed of poor quality parts, old, broken, repaired parts, etc. and those from customer relations don't do it, they wait for it to come out of the warranty, they answer very late. the ordered product was delayed by 6-7 days, it also came with missing parts and a few scratches, and the most beautiful part, on the first outing on the road, it snapped, the braking system broke in two.this is very dangerous, someone can lose their life and they don’t care

Avoid At All Costs.

Ordered Surly Long Haul Trucker 26-Inch Forks expected it to be new.

On receiving the package, typical Hermes/Evri workmanship by leaving it outside my main door....visible to all. Thankfully my area is relatively safe.

Right onto the parcel. Typical cheap with no padding packaging. Unwrapped this to show the seal of the box being tampered. All products I have received new have their seal sealed. This was already a very bad sign. Onto the fork after careful inspection, the fork has had a crown race installed hence used with very visible marks. There was a significant chip just above top of the crown.

As a side note Surly do not face their crowns on their forks. You require to do this yourself.

As a new customer or potential customer for the company, I am shocked on how slow responses are as well as supplying me with a seconds fork...

I want a replacement fork, however due to their limited stock, they would need to order it from their supplier and that would take at least a week so I would estimate 3 weeks of my time was wasted including the time from when I was the purchase was made. If they can't do it right the first time how can they do it right the second time.

Honestly, I would not like to use this company at all. The inconvenience and poor service are just not worth it. In my honest opinion, take your money elsewhere and AVOID this company.

Return postage should be refunded with a phone call but I will see how quick they are to respond to phone calls.

Bike Did Not Arrived And Terrible Customer Service

Totally disappointed in this company. Ordered a bike and was told it had been dispatched. It failed to arrive so I tried to contact them, but their phones had a message that they are not answering due to Covid-19 (and it was not a lockdown time). So tried emailling but no response after 5 days so tried again marking it urgent and they finally replied. They claimed the courier had lost it, but the courier said they had never received it. They had sold out of the item and offered no assistance in obtaining a replacement or any compensation. The bike was for my son's birthday and with all the delays in response I am unable to get him a bike anywhere in time and he will be totally devastated when I have nothing for him. I would not use them again.

Bike Never Received -avoid

I ordered a bike online that was noted as in stock.

I received no order confirmation or receipt email but they debited my account.

Still no answer on the phone or to my emails.

I’ve had to hand it to my c/c company to get a refund.

Terrible company.

Dispatched A Completely Wrong Colour Mountain Bike

One wonders how much lack of care is needed to be able to take an order for many hundreds of pounds, then despite clear order details on the online system, dispatch a mountain bike that states VERY different colour on the box.

Although the speed with which the bike was sent and delivered was commendable, the shock of finding a purple instead of a "charcoal blue" bike in the box was quite something. Having then, in disbelief, a look at the big printed label on the box, which said purple very clearly... made me wonder how much one doesn't have to care at all about one's job to do this.

As it was the very last bike of this type and model in stock, according to the website, I decided to keep it as I could not find it at other retailers either.

So, in any normal circumstances one would demand replacement or refund, but now I'm basically stuck with a bike of a colour that is radically different from the one ordered.

Let Down

Townsend Space Explorer 12 inch Boys Bike

I ordered a bike for my on 30/04/2020. The website clearly stated that if preorder if the supplier does not have in stock they would email me within 2 working days. On 14/05/2020 I emailed as had no contact from Winstanleys bikes. I received a reply on 22/5/2020 stating they were sorry about delay and the purchasing team would update me when they had information. I have not heard from them. I emailed them again on 24/05/2020 asking them to deal with as a matter of urgency and not received a reply.

It is my Grandsons birthday this weekend and I had assumed by the info on their website that a month month was sufficient time to get his bike. They are not taking phone calls, have been paid for this bike on ordering. The shop is open but I am unable to visit as one the people who are shielding.

Very poor value for money when you pay for something that you don’t get.

I have bought bikes fromWinstanleys previously but am appalled at their very poor service on this occasion, not being able to contact on phone and email replies taking over a week to give me no information

Don’t Bother

Took money for the order, got an email saying it would be 1-2 days delivery. Didn’t hear anything so sent an email enquiring, got an automated reply saying because of the virus they would reply within 7 days. 2 weeks later finally got a reply saying my bike would be delivered in September- 6 months after ordering. Phones are switched off. Am now going through my bank for a refund. Non existent customer service

Thank you and hope you get sorted soon.ive asked the company for a refund so I'll honour their 14 days refund policy and if no joy I'll be in touch with the bank.the most frustrating thing is on their websites they are still saying 4 to 5 days delivery for this item.its beyond a joke.haha

Terrible isn’t it. May be worth going through your bank for a refund as I’m doing, they will then investigate it themselves. Hope you get it sorted

Iam currently in the same situation,purchased a bike carrier on the 25th April which said it was in stock and would take 4to5 day delivery which I was in no rush to receive with the current situation covid 19.

I still haven't received the item and have had not one email or correspondence from them informing myself what is happening just got the automatic email response when I emailed them with bla bla bla but were happy to take my 300 quid within minutes.Just a total joke.

Utter Rubbish

No words can really explain how bad this company are behaving, no goods after taken money, no contact, not answering emails, requested a refund what a total shambles who ever owns this company needs to pull their finger out their a##se, take payment clearly delivering goods to some but yet sit their and don't inform customers who haven't received goods where their product is, how is this good practice, stay away don't not waste your money.
