Chez & Nicos, Huddersfield

Ascending the steps of Chez & Nicos, a musty smell greeted us which is the only thing that did greet us as the waiter, who was the only person working in the restaurant, was too busy behind the bar to come over as we walked in. We were asked to choose a bottle of wine before even seeing a wine list. We were not shown to a table but were vaguely pointed in the direction of an empty place. There were dirty plates sitting on people's tables for the whole time we were there & a noticeable lack of food being brought out. After sitting ourselves down, we then waited over 10 minutes for a menu and by this time we'd had enough & left.

Two of us visited on a Friday night at 8.30 and the restaurant was three-quarters empty and the atmosphere was flat. Never got to taste the food as service so slow and disorganised so we left.
