Winnipeg 6. Huge Tent, Plenty Of Room For Fa

Winnipeg 6.

Huge tent, plenty of room for family of 6 but smaller footprint than the supersized dome tents so no problems pitching on regular plots. Polycotton means the tent is cool in heat and warm in cold. Agree with other reviews, the tent is easy to erect once you get the hang of it but it's heavy.

Interior is poorly made with ties and tags that don't match - we had to go back to the vendor to get extra bits to sew on ourselves. Mesh on one of the barn doors was worn, as if it had been attacked by moths. Worst of all, we camped in this through three wet spells and leaks were sprouting up all over the place. Despite waterproofing the leaks when the tent had dried, more appeared each time it rained (in light showers and downpours). One morning after a night of rain we awoke to paddling pools of water in each corner. It was like camping in the 70s, all mess and damp sleeping bags and no fun ...

Don't buy one, look around for alternatives.

The Royal Winnipeg 6 Cotton Tent Is An Amazing Ten

The Royal Winnipeg 6 Cotton Tent is an amazing tent like above we had a little leak but once cotton dried out it was weathered in and has kept us dry since. So easy to put up when you get the hang of it and comes down in minutes once all the pegs are out and there's lots of them !

Plenty of room for us a family of 5 we call it our mobile villa as its so roomy. Love the separate porch so all muddy shoes can stay out of main living area, barn doors on sleeping pod great to keep eye on kids and same on curtains for main windows can have privacy whilst circulating air. Good sized canopy to cook under and side panels are great idea as wind breaker. Ours has been used 4 times over the summer and is now up in our garden getting a shampoo before being packed away for winter. Roll on spring so we can use it again, if you get a chance go and have a look at one, once you do you will want one !!

I Have Recently Purchased A Royal Winnipeg 6 Berth

I have recently purchased a Royal Winnipeg 6 berth polycotton tent.

The tent had great potential with a very big living area and adequate sleeping area.

However on the first night it rained and the childrens sleeping pod got wet.We initially put this down to the inner tent touching the outer skin and possibly the polycotton would waterproof after getting wet the first time.

After further rain and investigation it was found that there was water ingress at the corners of the zip in ground sheet and other areas mostly where stitching was found. In certain places it appeared not to be double stitched and there was daylight to be seen.

We arrived home today 1-8-2009 after a week away in Norfolk and shall contact the vendor on Monday about a refund
