Halls Silverline Range

I am a retired Sheet Metal Production Engineer & Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer/Technician.I was asked to assemble & erect a Halls Skyline Leanto Greenhouse for some friends.It was an absolute nightmare from start to finish.It is over engineered,the written instructions are very unclear & the photos & drawings are poor.When you finally get the framework completed every sheet of glass / plastic has to have a length of circular rubber gasket pushed into a very small groove in the extruded framework.This process alone takes over a day.When you finally fit the glass & plastic some of the vertically hung sheets are to large & have to be fitted without the support lugs to get over the problem.The glazing strips are very difficult & time consuming to fit.I built my own greenhouse a couple of years ago & it was a very pleasant and easy process & took me just over a day.Although the finished greenhouse is strong & of good quality I would not recommend it to anyone as I think many people would find the assembly impossible to complete.I did not enjoy this process one bit.

Not Good. A pig to assemble as instructions are rubbish - diagrams are dark photo copies and impossible to understand.

I am good at DIY but this takes the biscuit.

The glazing gasket took over a day to put into the channels as gasket is round section and has to be physically squeezed into a tee section channel.

Going for the curved look was a big mistake as the curved glazing is pvc and has to be joined to the roof glass using plastic "Z" strips which leak. Also, all the condensation on inside of roof hits this strip and drips off in large quantities all over the staging underneath.

If I had a choice, would I buy another Halls Greenhouse? Definitely not!!

Would I recommend it to a friend? No way.

Would I recommend it to my worst enemy? Definitely Yes!!
