Vertigo 42, Tower 42

I was invited to Vertigo 42 by a former colleague and was warned that it was a champagne bar so would be quite expensive. Seeing as I had paid the twice we had met up before and she had chosen the venue I was not put off! You meet in the lobby and then an express lift takes you to the top of Tower 42 in the heart of the city of London. The bar / restaurant is as you can imagine right at the top of this building and is all glass. The views from this venue are just breath taking and if you're lucky enough to get a clear day when visiting then you will love it. You are unable to just turn up (I think but could could be wrong) and we booked so were assured of a place. I was lucky enough to see the view when it was still light and also when the sun had gone down and again it was great to see things all lit up. London just seems to go for miles and the view of the river just makes you appreciate how many twist and turns are in it. The food and drink is expensive but this venue would be great for a special occasion unless of course expense is not an issue. The service as you would expect is first rate and I'm glad I had the opportunity to experience Vertigo 42 and hope to return one day!
