Worlds End, Ecton

Today 09 Feb we booked for an evening meal. For 8 pm on arrival we were told that the previous customers were still at the table , we were told to wait in the upper bar. Even though our table was booked a week before. We thought that this wasn't satisfactory , and remarked this to the woman who seemed to be in charge..

When she collected us she spoke to 4 guests sitting nearby ,who then started smirking at us and and making lewd comments when we passed them with the member of staff.(Do you like being called losers by people you don't know?)

When we went to our table in a corner we decided that we had enough and left. We would not recommend this establishment to any one after receiving this treatment.

Worlds End restaurant has just been updated to become a trendy type modern restaurant, and the surroundings are really nice, and a pleasant atmosphere.However the Food is expensive. I had a steak which cost £17.95 veg included, that is if you can describe one mushroom and half of a tomato and a bowl of homemade burnt chips as veg. I requested some unburnt chips, only to be told that they are all like that.

If I wanted a sauce on the steak this would cost me nearly £2.00 extra.
