Bertorelli's Is A Great Italian Restaurant In The
Bertorelli's is a great Italian restaurant in the heart of bustling Soho in central London. As you walk in the entrance you are greeted by front of house staff who are polite and efficient and quick to show you to a table. It is advisable to book on Thu - Sat evenings peak times to avoid disappointment. Downstairs feels quite intimate as some of it is sectioned off in to smaller areas but the main array of tables are placed in front the glass frontage over looking Frith Street. In the sunmer the windows are opened up and you can sit outside on the small terrace which is lovely if the sun is shining. Bertorelli's also offers the option of private dining upstairs for a larger party but I haven't experienced this.If you are after just a drink in the evening you can actually just sit upstairs and have a cocktail , some champagne or wine... whatever takes your fancy. The menu downstairs give you plenty to choose from and is typical Italian fare - offering antipasti and pasta dishes as well as pizza's and a selection of risottos too. There is also of course the slightly more expenivse more speicalist meat and seafood dishes should you choose to splash out a little bit more. You can also select from a number of side dishes to compliment your main dish. On one occasion, the atmosphere was enahanced by the fact that they had a live pianist playing in the restaurant which I thought was a great touch - not sure if this is a regular thing and was quite some time ago now so not sure if they do still do this.
