The Palmerston, East Dulwich

The Palmerston is a Gastro style pub located in the heart of Lordship Lane. On entry the Palmerston certainly reflects its gastro credentials with a classic pub interior in dark mahogonay. The staff greet you on arrival and are generally attentive.The Palmerston offers a balanced menu with the usual meat, fish and veggie spread. Starters are around the £6 mark and mains between £12 - £16.This is about right however, the portions are tiny which makes £16 for a main quite expensive.There was 6 of us in the party and we had 1 bottle of wine between us and the bill came to around £40 per head which is pretty steap considering not all of us had a starter and only 2 people had a dessert.I hate to leave a restaurant hungry and unfortunately in this instance I did.
