Absolute Rubbish. Waited 8 Moths For A Delivery An

Absolute rubbish. Waited 8 moths for a delivery and was kept being put off. Got our furniture today from somewhere else after only ordering last week! Would NEVER go to Furniture Barn again!!

Poor Service

I wish we had read reviews before shopping at furniture barn. We had previously purchased an item in their clearance sale so thought it would be ok. We found an item of furniture which was what we had been looking for. The sales assistant checked on the computer and informed us it would be in stock on the 17th April. She told us if we ordered it we would have it within 2 weeks. We went home to measure up and double check and then phoned to order, speaking to the same sales assistant.

After 2 weeks we had not received the promised phone call so we contacted them to see what was happening. My husband was told that it was not expected in stock until the end of May !! I phoned and spoke to the original assistant again who confirmed that this was correct. I told her that was unacceptable and asked if we could purchase the one in the show room. She replied that she didn't have the authority to authorise that and it wasn't something they usually allow. I informed her that if I couldn't have the one in store I would be down the next day to cancel and get a refund. She told me I wouldn't be able to get a refund because the next day was Sunday and there wasn't anyone working who could do a refund. I asked to speak to the manager and she told me he wasn't in. I suggested she could contact him by phone and she told me he was on holiday. After much insistence from me she said she would try to contact someone. After a number of calls I finally got a call from the manager, who wasn't on holiday at all, he was at their store in Derby. He eventually authorised it for us to purchase the one in store.

What a shambles the customer service is at this shop. The sales staff clearly wouldn't know the truth if it smacked them in the face !

My advice to any potential customers..... go somewhere else. It's really not worth the hassle.

Utterly Awful!!

Ordered in January sales (nearly £1000 worth of furniture and and still had to pay for delivery!!) to be told its a common range and will be available to deliver on the 24th Feb. That came and gone, I called up and they said its not in the country and will be delivered 24th March. That went and I had to call again to be told it's still not in the country!! Finally arrived (well over the min. 12 weeks delivery) and found the tv stand too small and looked silly. Called the store to ask to swap it for the bigger size (and I'd pay the extra) to be told I'd have to pay 35% on top due to be ordering in store and not online (??) for returning an item - which they don't tell you in the store. The Grantham manager is lovely in store when selling you something but something else when he has your money!! Never using again and will never recommend. Never had such awful service, I've never written an online review but I'm so fuming I'm actually taking time to warn people to NOT USE FURNITURE BARN!!

Bad Customer Service

Ordered a table on Thursday was told l would be rung on Friday to arrange delivery. Still had no call by the following Friday so rang them. The wrong table was delivered on Saturday, the management was made a where of the error by the delivery men but they were told to deliver it anyway. Having had bad delivery experience before was told 4 to 6 weeks actually delivery 12 weeks, canceled order for table. Still trying to get my money back being told it will come from head office, told by customer service at head office no manager in the office fro 3 days. so over all it will take me over a month to get money back.

Terrible Customer Service. Order Still Not Received.

Ordered dining table and 4 chairs early January and was told they would be delivered mid February. Delivery date was arranged and I took the day off work. Received a call from distribution centre the day before delivery and was told the chairs had not been sent by the supplier. The table was still delivered and we were promised a call from the distribution centre about the chairs. Did not receive a call for a couple of days so I called the distribution centre. Was told by someone that they would look into it and ring back. Received an email saying they would look into loan chairs and they would ring as soon as something was sorted. Did not receive any call back and called several times to be told that either the person dealing with it was not there or the dept was closed. I went to the store and spoke to the manager who was very apologetic and called the distribution centre and said he would look into it. He spoke to someone while I was there and asked what was happening. He then said the chairs would be towards the end of March and that he would arrange for some temporary chairs. He said he would call back the following day to let me know what had been sorted out. That was last week and I am still waiting! I will be going back to the store this weekend and if this is not resolved I will be cancelling my order. Customer service is non existent and I will not be ordering anything from them in future.

Absolutely over the moon with furniture barns service politeness expertises and the suites we have bought are of the upmost quality i admit i was abit dubious with all this closing down talk but the team were friendly and helpful and having a little 3yr running around whilst helping me is testing but no problem for them excellent customer service impeccable manners and fantastic quality im over the moon furniture barn youve made my house a home ♥♥♥ welldone only 1 constructive feedback advertise more get your brand noticed flyers? The company is closing down and sell sold as seen, also at 70% off.

I bought a houseful for the price of a room, and all of my furniture is fine, I checked and collected it myself.

Worst Experience Ever!

Do not use this company as their after sales service is appalling. This company has recently been taken over and we've been trying to return a damaged wardrobe and bedside table for weeks. When trying to contact them calls are never answered, messages never returned and no response to emails. We certainly wouldn't use this company again.

Crappy Chinese Chairs

My wife and I bought eight antique dark leather high back chairs costing £760.00

We have had them 20 months when we started to notice that the coating on the leather was

starting to crack, we took one over to the shop where we were going to show them the problem,

they insisted that they didn't need to look at the chair and that they would sort it out.

How wrong we were to trust them, the manufactures said it could be excessive use, strong cleaners, or pets and even said that they had issues with this product.

Then they told me the old company had gone into admiastration and could

do nothing about it, but did say we could buy replacements at half the price, why on earth would I part with my hard earned money to buy this rubbishy again, shop at Furniture Barn at your peril.

Not Received Item

After ordering I got an email to say item is in stock and will be with me shortly. A couple of weeks later I had heard nothing. I phoned and was told they will look into it and call me back, but again I heard nothing. I have now phoned again and have been told it will be sent out. I am not holding my breath. Stay away from this company.
