I Haven't Even Stepped Foot Into This Place And No

I haven't even stepped foot into this place and nor would I want to!

I rang them to make an enquiry and spoke to the manageress. After I asked her how old you had to be to get into the bar she replied "You live in this country and you don't know madam?'I told her this was an extremely rude comment, she then became very patronising. I informed her that I (in a party of 3) wished to come in to celebrate a 16th birthday, to eat at the resturant then use the bar area afterwards. She replied in a rather patroning manner "Thats a big party!". The telephone conversation ended with me saying "actually I no longer wish to come to Despardos because of your rude attitude" she replied "thats you problem madam" then hung up the phone on me...How rude!!!!

I Visited Desperados Restuarant Last Month With My

I visited Desperados restuarant last month with my partner. It wasn't a pleasant experience. The place was uncomfortably over packed, tables were crammed in clearly to make more money, it was extremely noisy with very loud repetitive "mexican" music in the foreground rather than the background, infact the "authentic mexican music" is about as bad as the "authentic mexican decor" - the decor was busy, bright and headachey, extremely tacky and not at all "mexican" - you know bright plastic table cloths, plastic fruit clumsily placed in every crook and cranny. This restaurant seems to be rather ill-equipted and disorganised. We were plonked down at a dirty table by a rushed, rude, brash waitress who wiped the table down whilst we were sitting at it! She plonked down two menus and without a word walked off, not to be seen again for approx 15 minutes, we ordered in our drinks which were fine and reasonably priced, then our food which was overpriced and disappointing, we each ordered the steak, we asked for medium rare and got well done. They were sent back and redone. The quality of the steaks themselves were pretty bad, not the best steak in the world concidering the price. We also ordered nachos which were lovely if a little expensive and "mexican" rice which was stone cold, dry and flavourless for which we refused to pay for.

As the place is extremely packed, crammed and noisy, you have to squeeze through 2 inch gaps between seats to get to the toilet (which to be fair, were clean) or to leave. You have to constantly say "excuse me" to other diners over loud, bad "mexican" music. The tables and chairs are uncomfortably close to eachother. Personally I would avoid this restaurant at all costs.
