Griffin iTrip Universal

I had high hopes for this Gizmo and why not? Griffin have a good name and are experts in this field. The iTrip Universal is an unmitigated disaster. The theory of it is fine and it looks good too. In practice however it is a total waste of money. If the unit is more than 18" (46 cms) away from an aerial then the signal peters out. Considering it was designed to be used in a car in conjunction with a car radio then this is not just a quirk it is a major design fault. Prior to writing this review I took the trouble to test it with a domestic radio. The test was just as disappointing.

My advice is. . . if you want to use your MP3 player to play through your car radio do not for a split second consider the Griffin iTrip Universal because you will be wasting your money. Griffin should do the right thing and withdraw it from the market.
