Do Not Buy Fitted Furniture From These People.
Shame minus stars are not possible. I just cannot begin to say how awful our experience with Glasswells was. Purchased a large 3 section wardrobe from them for £1700 ish and paid them to fix it in place. The doors started to stick and the frame moved out of line but very slowly such that we didn't report it to them until after their 12 month guarantee period was up, but the fault was progressive and not sudden. I suspect strongly that the carcass is simply not strong enough for three heavy mirrored sliding doors, they however preferred to say that we had mis-used the wardrobe, without evidence, because we hadn't mis-used it in any way. We took our complaint to the manufacturers .. Rauch and then the furniture ombudsman. The Rauch response was clearly the same as Glasswells, obviously because they are a big supplier and even the words in their response were the same. The ombudsman was not interested in my actual physical evidence refusing to visit, and found in favour of Glasswells.... the ombudsman is paid for by Glasswells and other large furniture retailers. So no surprise there. What none of them did was to give a credible reason for the wardrobe's subsidence nor engage with us. For the record I have 45 years professional experience of designing fitted furniture and most of our communications were with customer services people who clearly hadnt a clue about the issue. I would advise you not to buy from these people as they cannot be trusted to do the right thing or listen to you. The reason I'm posting this now is that I'm about to spend some time trying to fix the wardrobe so it's not dangerous and unsightly having had a final response from them saying they would FIX their faulty wardrobe if we PAID them... Joke. The reason I'm not concerned about making these accusations is that that are all TRUE and provable so I would welcome Glasswells to try to say otherwise. I have a lot of evidence if anyone is interested and will happily send it to you cos Glasswells etc are clearly not. The reason I am repeating this review is that I've spent a fair bit of today trying to repair their faulty goods... im very very angry
Bed Bug Mattress
We had a mattress delivered in October 24 2019 the delivery drivers took my mattress up stairs with there dirty boots on bought the mattress up to my bedroom with the mattress in one open ended polyline bag quickly pulled off and pushed it onto the base and said would you like us to take away your old mattress I said no that OK they were in a hurry as they had a very busy day and in November 2019 we notice black spots on the mattress buttons we rang glaswells to make a complaint they said they would send a instore furniture repair man he came a week later and did not have a glu. What it was and he would make a report it turn out to be bed bugs we had made numerous of calls to glasswells and all they could do was to palm us off with was two bed protectors and they don't what to know take your complaint up with furniture ombudsman which is still on going now for six months we can not sleep on the infested mattress as my partner has had cancer and has on going radiotherapy this has been a nightmare for us and glasswell customer services don't give a dam and spend there time fobbing customers off this is a warning to every one do not shop at any glasswells store we will never go in there ever again

Sofa Problem
After purchasing two leather sofas the arms became flat. We used scatter cushions to improve comfort. After contacting the store it was implied the problem was our fault for doing this. We now feel that we have wasted almost £4000

Ordered dining table and chairs and after waiting six weeks for item I had to take a day off of work for the delivery. Aside from the fact the delivery men wore dirt shoes on my new carpet I was informed that the chairs were not assembled and they could take them back, assemble them and bring them back the following day. As I know which way to hold a screwdriver I told them I could put them together. Upon assembly I found one of the chairs ripped. Equally found upon inspection of the dinning table scratches on the top and the legs poorly manufactured / marked. I contacted Customer Service to report the issue and was told I would have to wait another 30+ for a replacement. After forty five days I had no communication from Glasswells as of the status. After chasing them for an answer I found that the replacement had arrived but upon inspection they were not happy with it and I would have to wait again whilst they ordered another one. So in mid January (90 day after first reporting issue) I still heard nothing. Contacted Customer Service again and was told that at the earliest I would hear from them would be the second week of February. I asked what would happen if they were not happy with this expected delivery and was told my choice was that they could pick up the dinning suite and refund me the money. That is not really a choice. I insisted on talking to a manager which equally went unanswered until I called again. Needless to say my concerns fell on deaf ears. I find Glasswells Customer Sevice a contradiction in terms and the quality of the products they are selling is lacking.

The long and the short of it is ...... first I had a mark on the footend of this bed , in total 4 men came out to look at this mark , then one of them steamed it then brushed it and this made it worse , then i was tilting to one side, then my head was lower than my feet then i had sqeeks ! and was told the sides were flexing and there was nothing more they could do , so lots of men looking at the problems i had with this bed, they gave me a refund on this bed and i bought another bed- a divan in the glasswells sale so they took my faulty bed down and bought the new divan base, i was told the faulty bed had been put up wrong , the base was upside down , the screws were put underneath and should of have been put on the side , no washers were used !! it was a shambles !! the delivery men were late as i had a slot between 2-4 they came 430 i had to go out so i left them in my house with my partner who was watching tv , i told the men any problems he is here . when i return there was what i thought mud on my bottom step of my carpet it wouldn't come off so then i smelt it and it was dog muck !!as i went upstairs up on my landing more was to be seen and then in my bedroom there was some , all in the shapes of L so its off a corner of something - i was there when they bought the first half of the divan up stairs and it was covered in polythene so i think the next half of the divan was rested in some dog much on a corner of the bed - i don't own a dog so i don't know where it came from ? but the men definitely bought the dog muck in from somewhere !? i was offered £50 from Glasswells to cover the cost of cleaning my carpet !!!! this was an insult and i feel the whole situation has been handled very unprofessionally and feel that i have got no where for all the trouble i have had, no one has been any help ! so i wont ever be going in that shop again !

Chairs Worn And Flakey Cheap China Products
Brought a table and 4 chairs (thought we were buying qulity how wrong was i)
RUBBISH QULITY CHEAP PRODUCTS MADE TO LOOK NICE
2 chairs replacemed twice due to having lots of wobble,
After the 3 we kept them as it was getting a pain
although after we got them there not the same.
I wouldnt bother trying to dispute it as they send of a company to see if the faults are due to ware and tare as the sure service indepentand company they send out works for the companys that supply glasswells so a byest side.
Company and qulity has gone down hill waiting months for your item so that can ship cheap china products
I wont be using glasswells
If i can keep a few people saving there money thinking stuff is build to last from glasswells i will be happy.
With Two Properties To Furnish, I Saw No Issue Wit
With two properties to furnish, I saw no issue with ordering two bedside cabinets, entering my billing address as different to the delivery address. Indeed, the website gave me that option and payment was accepted by my bank. Less than 24 hours later, I received an automatically generated email from them outlining that I was a high fraud risk. I contacted them to discuss and they reiterated that despite verifying my details and an explanation and appreciation of my situation, for their 'safety', they had no option other than to cancel the order. So my advice to anyone who wishes to gift friends or family, has a second property, furnished rental properties or simply work away from home, please don't waste your time with Glasswells.

Poor After Sales Service
Selected and ordered 2 beds for our house in France in January. Told delivery would be 6 to 8 weeks which was fine as we also booked Glasswells delivery service to transport the beds, some items from another supplier expected to be ready about the same time, and items from our house in UK. Finally, transportation was arranged for 5 April and we made a special journey from France on 30 March to deal with the pick up of the other items on 1 April, only to be told late in the afternoon on 31st that sorry, a headboard and mattress were missing from the Glasswells order and would have to be reordered from the manufacturer, a delay of several weeks.Since the beds had been received into the Glasswells depot on 7 March it is unbelievable incompetence that no-one had made the basic elementary checks to ensure the order was complete.
Meanwhile, we have left a plumber unsupervised in our house and incurred considerable expense on a tiring 13 hour drive, and Channel crossing, and face the prospect of several more weeks sleeping on air beds.
I await to see how Glasswells manage to resolve this issue. So far we have merely had the offer of an alternative headboard, as yet unseen. We await developments.

I note there are not many reviews about curtains! Don't go there go to John Lewis-they can make them
and will put it right if they go wrong. In our experience Glasswells won't!!

Coir Matting Sag
Customer service. Shambles. Ordered coir matting 05/09/2015. 8 day delivery , we were told as it had to come from Bury.
This Tuesday ,16/09/2015 phoned the shop to be told that it hadn't come in ,and maybe in this afternoon. They would phone us. ....waited , but no phone call. Late afternoon we phone and was told it hadn't come in ..most probably be in on the Thursday. 18/09/2015. Today , Thursday we we're deriving past the shop and decided to call in to see if it had been delivered...after being fobbed of from one assistant to another , who by the way , they couldn't go to see if it had been delivered for some reason or another , my husband who was getting a bit peeved of by now asked a chap if he would see if it had been delivered. In the meantime my husband and I had decided that if the matting was not in ,we would like a refund to go elsewhere ...but the young lady then informed us that bury has to order it in from somewhere else !!!!! Lo and behold , the man came in with the matting. It had been delivered. Why oh why was it such a saga and why oh why was it nobody's job to go and have a look. ...anyway , my husband has just laid it and it only just fits. It had been distributed after it was cut at an angle and quite honestly , it looks naff.
Normally we have such good service from you ,but sadly not this time
