Good Helmet's Value Per Price
A good looking helmet, feels good on the head and comfrtable.
One disadvantage is the wind sound when you drive more than 60 km/h.

Nitro N1700-vf Motorcycle Helmet
I broadly concur with the above 2 reviews. Excellent helmet overall for a bargain price of £59 (via eBay) as of 17th April 2013. On the upside...
- Double D ring strap, fiberglass composite, removable/washable lining, good vents, Quick release Pinlock visor. Studs for protective film (if you race), very light at 1350 gm +/- 50grm. PLUS 5 STAR SHARP RATED... equal to helmets at 3x to 4x the price...
On the downside:
- A bit noisy at speed... unless you have good ear plugs... which are essential to protect hearing anyway.
- No wind ingress through visor (for me - although others reported that) but very slight rain ingress when raining heavy at motorway speed.
Overall, bargain helmet at the price. As is the full carbon unit at around £189. But at this spec... prices are likely to rise in the future...

I Also Bought As A 5 Star Helmet, Paid £35 A
I also bought as a 5 star helmet, paid £35 at ghostbikes, and as most 5 star helmets are £120 to £500 range, this has to be an absolute bargain.
Downsides: I find it mists quite badly and have to keep the visor open at low speeeds, and it isnt the quietest. Thats it really.... go for it.

Nitro N1700-vf Bought As A First Helmet After Doin
Nitro N1700-VF bought as a first helmet after doing CBT. Checked the SHARP ratings and found that this helmet rated 5 stars for their raft of tests against the Shoei XR I was looking at that was 3x the price and only 3 stars.
Can honestly say that it's a great helmet for £65, but whenever you have to put the qualifier 'great for £xxx' you know there's going to be issues. The padding and fit of the helmet is great, much more comfortable than the Cabergs & Marushins I tried. Top and bottom venting work very well, never had any excess sweat problems, but that could be down to another problem - the visor doesn't seal worth a damn...heartbreaking, a great helmet ruined by an appalling visor fit. All through last summer I rode slowly and I was happy to have pleasingly cool air flowing all round my helmet, but when I tried to ride a sport bike this winter it became deeply unpleasant. Obviously the extra 20-30 mph average speed adds to the effect, but the visor is a poor fit to the extent that at 60mph+ the helmet starts to lift because of the wind blasting through it.
Would recommend to low speed riders because it's great in the right environment, but it's absolutely no use to a fast rider. Get a 5* Arai or Shoei - they seal and compare very well for fit/comfort.
Interesting feedback. I read elsewhere of another N1700-VF helmet user getting a wind blast into one eye at speed. However mine works fine with no wind ingress at any speed. Although I did get a very minor bead of water run inside the visor (top to bottom) when raining quite steady... but not a big issue for me. I bought my first one a year ago and am so pleased with it - and there is no other 5 Star Sharp rated fiberglass composite helmet anywhere near £100 - that I have just bought a second one for my pillion. Excellent spec... bargain price... but no wind issues on my first unit... at least... lets see how the next one performs...
