Ordered a bookcase, didnt even receive a phone call or email from then confirming the order. Then had to wait for over 4 weeks to get a delivery date- each time I had to chase them for it- only to get told less than 24 hours before that it had been damaged and they cannot guarantee I would receive another within the week. Had them cancel the order and refund by card which I was told would take a week.

EXCELLANT EXPERIENCE. RIGHT FROM THE FIRST CALL HAD FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE HELP. PRICES WERE GREAT AS WE BOUGHT THE DEVON OAK LIVING ROOM RANGE. THEY COMPETED WITH OTHER RETAILERS. After searching online and checking other review sites, I was warned off by some of the horror stories I read about OTHER furniture E-tailers,

These guys offered the cheapest price, which then rang alarm bells about whether the service would be ok, (you usually get what you pay for) HOWEVER!

The sofa I bought arrived within the 3 days as claimed on their website.

I was allowed to sign for the item unchecked, incase signing for as checked means I write away my rights to return, without incurring a restocking fee.

Today I have put the sofa together in my flat and I am very happy. So glad I cancelled my previous order through a highstreet sofa shop, for nearly 2 grand and bought the one I did for £350.

Also I was updated throughout the day about the delivery slot,

Its rare to find decent service these days. And this shop gave me that. a no nonsense decent service.

The online chat was also very helpful, I've had worst experience with other shops where I could tell the person on the other end was not fit for a Customer service job. But not here.

Do not be put off by the quality of their website. It does look a bit dated, but thats another topic. Im not here to review how pretty a website looks.

I just wanted to say how pleased I am with my sofa, and the delivery which was exactly when they said it would be. Although I paid the extra £10 for a two man team only one man turned up, through no fault of his own, but he coped admirably. I would certainly recommend The Furniture Shop Uk to my friends.

Purchased a lovely looking oak tv cabinet on their EBay store and paid for it immediately on 14th October. Cannot review the quality of the actual item as I still haven't received it on 3rd November.

At no time has the company contacted me to explain the delay or speak to me. I have had to phone them to ask where my cabinet is. Every time I ring I get a different story and a different new date for alleged delivery.

The gentlemen who answer the phone are rude and completely unapologetic. The latest one actually asked what would I like him to do in a sarcastic manner - answer, deliver the item I paid for 3wks ago

I have recently purchased a dining table after a great deal of searching. This company had the table I wanted at a substantially lower price than any other site and free delivery to boot. I was admittedly a tad worried about the quality of the product because of the low price. I cannot emphasize enough how beautiful this table is in person. I cannot wait to entertain and show it off. Both the product and the service are outstanding. Do not hesitate to purchase from this company. I should also mention that I am actually in the furniture business myself.
